Slowly my sleepy eyes opened to reveal Draco asleep, lying next to me; his arms still wrapped around me tightly as he slept. Gradually I turned around to look at the clock on the nightstand, trying not to wake him but immediately my eyes widened as I realised what time it was.

"Shit!" I said as I quickly shook Draco awake, eventually he came to; his eyes weary with sleep.

"Huuhh...? What is it?" He said as he propped himself up on his elbow watching me as I climbed out of his bed.

"It's already nine!" I said flustered, as I made my way for his door.

"Yes, I don't see what's wrong with that?" He replied cockily a smirk spreading on his face.

"And lessons are starting in five minutes." His smirk quickly faded off his face, as he too began to realise that we both were going to be late to Professor Umbridge's class. Quickly I made my way to my dorm pulling on my robes before I ran down the stairs into the common room with my book bag slung over my shoulder. Draco shortly came down after me and we both hastily began to make our way to Umbridge's lesson.

We ran through the corridors, accidentally knocking into students who had free periods. Eventually, we made it to Defence Against the Dark Arts, both of us panting as we burst through the door and into the lesson. Professor Umbridge looked up from her marking a disgruntled look on her face, as the rest of the class turned to look at us in silence.

"Sorry, we're late Professor," Draco said apologetically, as we both rushed to our separate desks.

"It's quite alright Mr Malfoy, I expect you have a justifiable reason for being late; unlike Miss Ravenwood." Professor Umbridge glared at me while I stared at her coldly in the eyes.

Bitch.

"Oh Rose is late because of me it's not her-" Draco was interrupted by Professor Umbridge clearing her throat.

"Draco you do not need to make up excuses for Miss Ravenwood." She said in a venomous tone.

"Professor honestly I'm not-"

"Mr Malfoy you have now earned yourself a detention with Miss Ravenwood, so I suggest you shut up before the consequences get severe!" Miss Umbridge's face had gone red as she looked flustered with the sudden rise of her voice. Draco eventually backed down, glancing at me out of the corner of his eyes, he mouthed the word 'sorry' to which I only shrugged my shoulders. But in all honesty I didn't care about Umbridge, she was nothing but a shell of authority. Slowly I got my textbook out of my bag and turned to the page which we were working from today. The rest of the class began to settle down again as everyone fell into silence and I began to copy out of the book. I could feel Umbridge's eyes burning on me as I purposely wrote messily on the piece of parchment in front of me.

Slowly she stood up and began to walk over to me, picking something up from her desk. It didn't take me long to realise that she had picked up one of her black quills, as she grabbed the ink pot off my desk and handed me the quill; a sickening smirk on her face. Reluctantly I snatched the quill off her and began to write wincing slightly at the pain but I was no accustomed to it due to my last detention.

Draco turned around with a look of frustration on his face as he watched the blood drip down my hand. Gradually the words began to engrave themselves into the back of my hand as I continued to write until the bell rang to signal the end of class. Shoving my book into my bag I quickly made my way to the girl's bathroom to clean my hand up before the start of next lesson, light flooded in through the windows as the sun shone down on Hogwarts. Dropping my bag to the floor, I walked over to the sink allowing the cool, soothing water to wash away the blood on the back of my hand.
