CHAPTER 34

My hand strayed over Draco's torso, causing his eyes to flicker shut momentarily as he let out a deep breath. Gradually my hand slipped under his towel as I leaned in and started kissing along his jawline. I could feel Draco's heartbeat speed up as I planted a kiss on his lips while he stood there breathless.

"Rose, you don't have to..." He breathed gently as I slipped his towel off revealing his lower body.

"Shhhh... I want to... I want you... All of you." I whispered in his ear as I planted another kiss on his lips and took a step back. Slowly I took off my tie and unbuttoned my shirt. He stood there in a trance as my last item of clothing slipped down to the floor, his eyes gazing over my body.

"You're the definition of beautiful..." He said as he walked towards me wrapping his arms around my waist, lifting me off the floor and taking me over to his bed. Gently he laid me down on the soft covers, never breaking eye contact as he moved closer to me and began to kiss me.

"I'm all yours..." He whispered in my ear as he planted kisses on my neck, gradually moving down my body, my hands grabbing onto the covers as my eyes flickered shut, a sharp gasp escaping my mouth...

Sunlight peeked through the curtains as my eyes opened slowly. Draco lay opposite me, our naked bodies pressed against each other's as he gazed at me, a small smile on his lips.

"What?" I asked as I blushed under his gaze.

"Nothing... You just looked so peaceful." He mumbled quietly as embarrassment got the better of him. I giggled as I leaned in and planted a kiss on his lips gently before I slipped out from under the covers to where my worn clothes laid on the floor. Quickly I put my clothes back on as Draco propped himself up on his elbows, a confused expression on his face.

"Where are you going?" He said, a hint of disappointment in his voice.

"Unfortunately I'm not as fortunate as you and actually have a lesson to go to. But I'll see you later okay?" I said as I ran over to him on the bed planting a light kiss on his lips.

"I love you," I said as I pulled away to look at him. A smirk covered his face, causing me to roll my eyes at him as I turned around and made for the door.

"I love you too." He shouted as I opened the door, I turned around to see him sitting there in bed; the smirk had now been replaced with a gentle smile to which I returned before I closed the door behind me.

Once I was in the corridor a huge grin spread across my face as a burst of warmth filled my body.

"What are you so happy about?" I heard a familiar voice say. I turned to see Veronica standing a few metres away, a small but sincere smile on her lips. I felt myself go red in the face as I panicked.

"I err- I err was-" I began to stutter but was interrupted by her breaking into a loud laugh.

"Don't worry about it, your secret is safe with me." She said once she regained her composure. I laughed nervously as we stood there looking at each other awkwardly. We hadn't spoken to each other since she'd yelled at me in the great hall.

"Err- Do you want to go to breakfast with me?" She asked tentatively.

"Sure," I replied a small smile on my face as I began to walk with her down the corridor into the common room.

We walked in silence for a while until one of us thought of something to say.

"Rose... I just wanted to say I'm really sorry for what I did to you. I shouldn't have listened to that bitch Pansy, she twists everything. After all, you're my best friend, it was completely stupid of me to doubt you. I hope we can be friends... I'm always here for you if you need someone to talk to about what happened. Professor Snape told me everything... But only because I begged him to." She added quickly as she saw my eyes widen.

Just how much had Snape told her?

"I'm really sorry about your Aunt Rose. I can't even begin to imagine what it must be like to go through something like that..." She said as she rubbed my shoulder gently. Relief filling my body as I realised that she didn't know everything. I looked up at her and smiled.

"Thank you, it means a lot, Veronica. I'd like to put the past behind us, I really need a best friend right now." I said as I placed my hand over hers. Veronica beamed back at me as we walked into the Great Hall.

"So... Tell me, what exactly happened in that room?" She whispered as she winked at me. All I could do was smile as I looked at her eager expression.

"Boy... It was that good was it?" She gasped as I burst into a fit of giggles as we sat down at the dining table.

We talked through the whole of breakfast as we caught up with each other and soon the food on our plates had vanished and the bell rang to signal the start of first lesson, Veronica walked with me until she reached her class where she hugged me goodbye. I now continued through the busy corridors as I tried to weave my way through the clusters of first years. Suddenly I felt someone's hand touch mine and push something in my hand. My mind filled with confusion as quickly I made my way into an empty corridor to see what it was. I opened up my hand to find a small scrunched up piece of parchment. As I unfolded it my eyes scanned across the handwriting. It was Harry's.

"9:00pm,
Room of requirement,
Dumbledore's Army."

Painful memories of my Aunt flashed through my mind as anger and revenge seeped through my body. I scrunched the parchment up in my hand letting all the pain escape my body in a flame of anger and as I reopened my hand the parchment now poured through my fingers in black ash.

I was going to show the dark side no remorse.
I was going to make them pay for what they'd done to me and my family...
