it's been a few days after the halloween party, i've just woken up and i can hear my mom downstairs cooking something.

wait, mom never cooks so early? i made my way down the halls and heard a man talking.

apparently he was my mom's old high school boyfriend who had come over for something he referred to as 'brunch' , whatever that is.

i kept walking and went up to my mom kissing her cheek, "morning mom.."

"morning sweetheart.. i made you breakfast, it's on the table." she pointed.

"thanks.. " i walked over and noticed my plate was on the seat next to my mom's friend.

i wasn't too into strangers so i shyly sat down and quietly ate.

"hey.. are you justin..?!" the man asked me.

"no... i'm taylor.." i replied.

he raised an eyebrow and then spoke to my mom "hey, didn't you also have a little girl?"

i squeezed my fork tighter as i ate.

"no i didn't." i she said sternly. mom is really supportive.. and she gets really mad whenever something like this happens.

"sure you did! oh... taylor! i'm sorry, it's just with that manly haircut i didn't recognize you! i've seen pictures of you! you were the cutest little girl ever" he kept rambling.

i sighed and stood up from the table "mom, i'm going to my room.."

she nodded apologetically as left the kitchen and walked back to my room.
