A month later, Heather was planning a rehearsal for her performance for the ball but this time she planned to make a singing competition and who ever wins gets a chance to perform with her. A lot of students signed up for their big chance. Heather was going through the names as each student goes up to sing a part of their song.

After hours of going through everyone, Heather finally decided the selection of 6 people. Just then Syrus walked up to Heather catching her off guard and he kiss her on the cheek chuckling for her playful glare.
"So how did it go?"
"Pretty good actually, I already have my group"
"Who are they?"
"Uh uh uh, you need to wait just like everyone else"
"But your my girlfriend?"
"And that doesn't mean you get any special treatment, sweetheart"
Syrus shrug
"Well I tried"
Heather laugh shaking her head, she then got up from her chair stretching and then pulled on Syrus hand.
"Come on let's go"
"Where are we going?"
"To go outside to get some fresh air?"
"But what about the rehearsal?"
"Don't worry about it, everything is set and done"
"You sure?"
"Yes"
"Because the ball is next week"
Heather narrowed her eyes at Syrus, he simply laughs nervously.
"Sorry. So what color is your dress going to be?"
They talked making their way outside and sat down under the shady tree.
"Uh uh uh, you can't know about that either"
"But Heather.."
"I want to surprise you, so please stop asking"
"Fine then, i'll tell you what im going to wear"
"Let me guess black and white?"
"No just a white suit"
"Nice"
"Thanks"
"What about Jaden?"
"Black and white"
"Chazz?"
"Black and gray"
"Alexis?"
"She said she wants to surprise us"
"Actually I'm making her dress, so I know what she will be wearing"

"Blue and white"
"Why do guys always wear the normal things?"
"What do you mean?"
"What I mean is that you guys always wear black and white or just black with a different color"
"Hey im going to wear something different"
Heather smiled and leaned her head on his shoulder.
"I know sweety, I know. Its just that I'm gonna be on stage and its going to look like everyone is at a funeral or something"
Syrus laughs
"Don't worry, I'm pretty sure everyone will be dressed in different bright colors, but you know I'm pretty sure you are going to stand out more than anyone else"
"Oh and what makes you say that?"
"Because your already beautiful to me"
Syrus said nudging his head against Heather who simply laughs. She decided to get into a better position and lay down with her head on Syrus lap as he gentle stroke her hair, as she looks up at him and he looks down at her.
"You are just too sweet for words, you know that"
"Hahaha you tell me that everyday"
"Because its true and you know what else?"
"What?"
"I love you"
"I-I love you too"
"Really? Your not just saying that?"
Syrus shook his head and leaned down capturing Heather into a gentle and passionate kiss.
