"We're home Shay." My mother said as she parked the car in a driveway of a familiar house. I got out of the car slowly and looked at my mother. She smiled. "Go ahead. Everything here is just the way you left it." I nodded and looked at our house. It was old, and looked like an old vampire house, black paint, some parts chipped away, windows covered by blinds. It was a very old house. I sighed. This is where it all started. The voices, seeing things that aren't actually there..... But i've gotten help, and there gone now. Gone for good....I hope.

I walked into the house, and looked around. Stairs leading up into different rooms. It was old fashioned. Creepy, weird, scary on the outside, but clean, neat, and lovely on the inside. There was a table next to me to put your purse and things on it, a piano by the stairs, a big walk way on your right leading to other places. This place was fancy and elegant... My mom walked in right behind me. I looked back as she smiled.

"Go ahead and get settled in. You'll have school tomorrow." She said. "Your father and I already signed you up, but if you don't want to go tomorrow, you don't have too."

The voices and shadows had started in this house, but school is were it had gotten worse. One day I had just flipped in the middle of class and was sent to the mental institution. She was scared that they would start again. "I'll be fine mom." I said. I gave her a hug, and went up to my room. As I reached my door I put my hand on the handle. I hesitated for a minute then opened the door. I walked into the blue, old, familiar room. A blue bed in the middle, a big closet to my left, white carpet, a makeup table to my right with a big mirror. I smiled as I walked around. I walked into my bathroom which was by my closet, and looked in the mirror. I had dark blue eyes with grey flecks in them, black hair that fell to my waist, 5'6, very thin, straight white teeth.I didn't care for my looks. If somebody likes me I wanted it to be for my personality. I didn't have friends though. They all thought I was crazy. I mean I even thought I was crazy. I sighed and walked out of the bathroom, and looked out my window that was beside my bed. There were people looking at the house in curiosity. I had a feeling people from my school knew I was back. I mean that's where they did take me to the hospital at. I started screaming in the middle of class, and fainted. I woke up in the hospital. That was four years ago. I was thirteen, now i'm seventeen. I sighed again as I watched people walk by the house, and glance at it.

I wasn't looking forward to tomorrow. All eyes would be on me just in case I have another freak out. I was about about to walk away from the window when something caught my eye. Two boys riding a skate board. One looked familiar the other one not so much.

"Lane..." A voice whispered. I jumped and whirled around.

Nothing was there. My heart dropped. The voices were back. I shook my head. No they can't be. It's just all in my head. I took a deep breath, and looked back at the window. The boys were still there skate boarding around. I imagine they live around here. I remember skating boarding. I haven't got to skateboard for about four years now. I doubt I even remember how. I sighed and shrugged. The boys were doing 360s and a bunch of stunts.

One boy was really catching my eye. He had brown hair, tanish, muscular, tall. I couldn't see his eyes from here though. He looked handsome. Yet there was something more to him. Something drawling me too him.

"Lane..."The voice whispered. "Lane needs your help."

I shook my head. "L-leave me alone." I said.

"Help Lane!" They yelled.

"Whose Lane!" I yelled. "Please stop!" I begged.

"But Lane needs you!" They yelled.

"I said leave me alone!" I yelled. I started to feel dizzy. The voices stopped, and left me alone.

"Whose Lane?" I said as I fell down on my bed.

"Wake up sweetie! Time for school!" My mother said slightly shaking me. I opened my eyes slowly. I yawned as I got up. My mother gave me a big smile before she left the room. I sighed and rubbed my eyes as I made my way to the bathroom. My blue-grey eyes were red, and my black hair looked like a rat nest. Then I brushed my teethand decided to get ready. I put on some black skinny jeans, a blue v-neck that said "Do I look Like A People Person?", and blue vans. I wasn't going to make an effort today. I doubted that people were even going to talk to me. They all thought I was crazy. Which reminds me of last night....The voices telling me about Lane.

I was going to pretend I never heard them, and decided not to tell my mother either. I didn't want to be put back into a mental institution. And maybe the voices were just a faze, and they wouldn't come back today. I sighed, and walked down stairs to my mother. She looked at me and smiled.

"Ready for school?" She asked.

I took a deep breath. "Ready as i'll ever be." I said.
