Saving Him.

Chapter Eleven

So here I am in Kadens car. Everything was silent in awkward.

Ha. Just kidding. I've been talking none stop since we left the school. In surprise he hasn't like kicked me out of his car yet. I would of. I can be really irritating when I want to. "What do you mean his voices are getting stronger? What's wrong? What's happening? Where is he?" I said rambling on with questions like these. That is until the car stopped.

"I can't answer your questions, because I don't even know. But we're here." Kaden said as we stopped in front of a cozy looking house. I'd be much cozier if there wasn't any police or bow dogs everywhere. Police and ambulance where parked outside, and now dogs where everywhere.

I quickly got out of the car and listened to what a police man was saying. "The boy won't come out of his room, and there's a lot of screaming." The man said. "I don't want to barge in and scare him. He's already been through enough. But we need to get him out, and the body. And put him under protection."

"B-b-body?" I stampeded out. I looked up at the house, and started running towards it.

"Find Lane! Your the only one he'll talk to!" A voice screamed.

I was almost to the door when an officer stopped me. "Who are you? You can't come in." He said.

"Please! I can get the boy out! I'm the only one he'll talk to!" I basically begged.

He sighed. "I'll talk your word, but follow me." He said as he led me in. And I couldn't believe what i saw. Blood was smeared across the wall, and someone seemed to be in the body bag. Bow dogs surrounded it. That must be why they were here. But why was Lane here? I'm pretty sure he didn't live here.

Then my heart almost stopped at what I saw. "Be aware Lane or else." was written in blood against the wall. I stopped walking, and just stared at it. "W-w-who would do this?" I managed to say.

"I don't know kid, but we are determined to find out." The man said.

"Zahra!" A voice said, no screamed. I looked around and saw a black figure heading up the stairs of the house. My eyes widened as I went after it. I ran until I heard screaming.

Lane! Was all I could think! I stopped until I had reached the room of where the screams came from.

"Leave me alone!" Lane screamed. "I'll never tell you who has it. Never!"

"Lane!" I yelled. "Open up it's Shay!"

"Shay? No you can't be here! Leave!" He said. As much as that hurt I wasn't leaving.

"No! I'm not leaving! Open up!" I yelled. I heard some shuffling until Lane opened the door. There he stood with tears going down his face.

"They killed my cousin. They want the necklace Shay! They want Lacey's necklace!" He said. "They won't stop until they have it! The voices are getting stronger!"

I hugged him tightly. "It will be okay, but we can't stay here. Will you walk outside with me?" I said. He sniffled up a tear, and nodded. We walked down stairs, and the copped that led me in looked at me shocked. He had pity, sadness, in his eyes. "Thank heavens he's okay." He manage to say. "Does he have a place to stay? I'll question him later when he's stable."

Kaden walked in and gave us a sad smile. Lane looked at him with tears. "I'll put him in the car." Kaden said as he helped Lane out the door. Since he couldn't even walk without trembling.

"He can stay with me." I said. "I'll talk it over with my parents."

He nodded. "Call your parents now, and I'll need your address and number please." He said as I pulled out my phone.

I quickly called my mom, and told her about what happen to Lanes cousin, and how he needed somewhere to say. Surprisingly she said he could stay, and that she didn't want to come home to us making out.

Yeah I'm not proud about that last sentence. I talked it over with the cop, and gave him my number and address. I walked outside, and saw a like millions of now dogs everywhere! Why are they still here? Maybe because there was a death?

I don't know! And that's what scares me the most! I sighed as I walked up to Kadens car. I got in the passenger seat and Kaden started the car. Lane was in the back asleep. The poor thing. Lane had dealt with too much in one day. And it's only Morning!

"Where is Lane going?" Kaden asked glancing back at Lane.

"My house." I said. "Will you stay too? Just in case anything else happens?"

He nodded his head yes, after that I gave him directions to my house. We finally got there, and of course no one was home.

"Get Lane inside while open the door." I said as he nodded. I got out of the car as did Kaden. Kaden walked towards Lanes side, and opened the door. He unbuckled Lane, and helped him get out of the car. Lanes eyes opened slowly as we walked inside.

Once we finally got inside we set Lane down, and I was thankful we were finally okay. Lane was sleeping peacefully, and Kaden was about to say something but Lane beat him to it.

Lane shot up, and looked around. "We have to get out of here! It's not safe!" Lane suddenly said.

"What?" I asked as the lights went off. Kaden jumped up, and ran towards the door. He tried to open it, but I wouldn't open.

"It won't open!" Kaden said.

"We're trapped inside!" Lane said.
