Silence filled the air, and I couldn't take it. It was slowly driving me nuts! I was either shaking my leg, or tapping my finger nails on something to keep me occupied before I screamed. "Your voices are different then mine, aren't they?" He began. "Your voices are calm, while mine are screaming."

I sighed and nodded. "But they weren't always like that." I said.

"Then if you can't stop them, then how did the evil voices stop?" He asked. I actually never thought of that. Why did they stop? Why did my voices go to evil to nice?

Why is this so complicated.

Who would of thought this would have been complicated?

"I don't know." I muttered out as the car stopped. We had arrived at my house, and of course...My parents weren't home. "Here's my stop." I started to get out, but he grabbed a hold of my wrist. I looked back at him. He look worried, and kind of pale.

"Is anyone home?" He asked. I shook my head no. "Will you be safe alone?"

I nodded my head yes, and gave him a reassuring smile. He smiled and let go of my wrist. I got out, and started to drive away. "Call me if you need anything!" He called out as he left. I smiled and walked up to my house. I grabbed my key out of my pocket, which I grabbed before I left, and opened the door. I walked inside, and something didn't feel right. It was completely dark. Not a ounce of light was spotted anywhere.

I heard something drop coming from the kitchen. I took a deep and grabbed a baseball bat that was by the door. Then I crept towards the kitchen, being quiet as possible. Right when I got there I flipped on the lights, and swung. "Woah there!" A familiar voice said. I dropped that bat, and sighed in relief.

"You gave me a heart attack!" I said as my heart rate slowed down. I looked at the spirit in front of me, as she just smirked. "Don't do that again. For all I know you could of been a murder. Lucky you, your a 'spirit' and I can't hit you." She smiled as I rolled my eyes. I walked over to the fridge, and took out a water. I remember the first time she was here in my kitchen. I was eating a peanut butter, and jelly. I wish she would stop visiting me in the kitchen. This was my favorite place, and she was ruining it. "What's you name anyway? I don't want to keep calling you spirit."

She seemed to debating weather she should tell me, or not. She looked in deep thought, until she sighed. She glanced at my locket, and half smiled. "Lacey. My names Lacey." She said smiling.

"Oh that's a pretty na-" I said but stopped. Isn't that Lanes sisters name?! The one that died?! "Y-your L-L-lanes s-sister a-aren't y-you?"

She frowned, and nodded her head. "Yes." She said sighing. "I am."

"Okay, this is where you tell me everything." I said as I walked to the front room. I sat down on the couch, and got comfortable. She stood right in front of me. I smiled. "Explain please."

"I'm Lanes sister as you know...The locket you were is mine. I died two years ago." She began.

"How did you die?" I asked.

"Car accident." She said. "And that's were you come in."

"How is that where I come in?" I asked.

"The ghost that's haunting Lane, is also trying to kill you." She said. "She's trying to kill us, because she wants the locket."

I glanced down at my locket. "What's so special about it?" I asked.

"I've never quite figured that out. All I know is that to keep it away from her." She said.

"So the dark figure I've been seeing, is the voice inside of Lanes head?" I asked. "But I have the locket, why does she keep tormenting him?"

"There's something more to Lane then the locket. I haven't quite figured that out either." She said. I sighed and relaxed as I slumped down in my chair. "I'm not much help. I only know what other spirits tell me. Just keep away from her, and keep her away from Lane."

"Wait...Was she the voice inside my head way before all of this?" I asked. She nodded.

"Why do I have to keep her away from Lane? Why can't you tell Lane yourself?" I asked, as she frowned.

"I can't even if I wanted too. Your special Shay, that's why your in this." She said. I couldn't believe this was happening. That's it..I was actually turning crazy. Insane. I'm losing my mind, and there was pretty much nothing I could do about it.

"So the other spirits...There the ones telling me to run, or find Lane or something." I asked.

"Yes." She said. "I'm the type of spirit that can take human form, those types are in the air, or your head. They warn you, and try to protect you."

"This is a lot to take it." I muttered.

She froze for a second. "I have to go." She said. "Get some sleep, and I'll try to find out more." I nodded, and she dissaped with a blink of an eye. I didn't feel like moving, so I decided to sleep in the chair.

"Save Lane." Was the last thing I heard before I fell asleep.
