Chapter 4: Human World

             

One month had passed swiftly and the successors learned to adjust to their new life. They start studying and participating in the school activities. They also made new friends to their classmates. At the same time they also started to actively participate on their chosen club.

Every now and then they gather and conduct a meeting, planning the thing they need to do in order to put their mission in to action. They found a hiding spot they consider as their hide out in the middle of the forest. It is located under the big old oak tree. The tree has a hole passage to their underground HQ located on its' roots.

They want to use their chosen club to train them on things they wanted to excel. This will be their primary weapon to be used in dealing in the human world. They are preparing and focus themselves in training after they receive a talking scroll carried by the mystical bird from the court.

The message informed them that they need to hurry since the night of the red moon is near.

In the middle of the forest they also prepare a space where they can train their skills. On the small pond near their location Alexa practice in bending water. Ivy on the other side practice her hexing skills accompanied with her broom, wand, and an enchanted book of curses. Erwin train himself in the air mastering his shifting skills. Mariel focus on how she can master the skills of controlling plants as a weapon and shield.

On the other side the cracking sound and the crashes of the tree to the ground is herd. Jhon is training himself to improve his strength, his sense of smell as well as his speed. He shifts on a wolf form to sprint around and improve his hunting skills. Together with Lyka that is also practicing her speed and strength. While on the shade of tree sitting on the chair with a papers and blueprints of plan was scattered on the table, Maria is practicing in investigating cases.

Two months had pass they mastered their training. They improve on to someone who is capable of catching their prey as a predator of the night. It means that they were already allowed to go out to the fields of human in the human world to hunt. But before stepping out to the battle ground they decided to dwell with each other as a last phase of their training.

All of them are trained in physical combat along with the skills of handling weapons. However the twist of this training is their not be fighting on the ground. They will fight on top of the swaying bamboo that is eight feet from the ground. They formed a big circle and stand in a combat position ready to fight who ever attack them first. In this match they will fight with all the means around them using their skills and powers. The last one standing and swaying on the bamboo will be the winner.

They balance themselves as the wind blows the bamboo causing them to sway harder in the air. Erwin make the first move attacking Jhon by aiming to hit feet to knock him on the ground. But as he move an inch to act his plan Jhon instantly dodge it as he jump his way to the center and kick Erwin on his stomach. Because of the sudden attack Erwin was shock causing him to almost lose his balance. He is lucky that he was able to shift immediately, as he fly his way back to his position. The second attack was made by Lyka she aim to kick Maria on her face, but to her surprise her leg was caught mid-air and pull it as it swung on the air while Maria gain her balance. Alexa and Mariel fight each other as they use their powers as a weapon. Water splashes everywhere as Alexa try to control it to use as a shield to cover herself away from the vines Mariel controls as she try to grip her neck and throw her to the ground.

At the middle of their match their battle ground begun to shake as Ivy cast a spell of destruction to the bamboo causing it to turn in to vines that almost made them fall to the ground. Lyka was alert enough to prevent it from happening as she stormed her way leaving black smoke behind when she hit Ivy causing her to lose concentration and the bamboo is back to its normal state.
