Chapter 6: Their Past

               

Three weeks had pass since their investigation about the case of the missing woman on her apartment. The seven of them are now called again to their headquarters for a bigger mission. They got a call informing that they're Intel got a lead about the whereabouts of the kidnapper. The seven of them prepares to leave as they confirmed about the location. Mariel, Alexa and Ivy drive the van to their location. While Jhon and Maria ride on a motorcycle the same with Lyka and Erwin.

The location is somewhere in Laguna. Mariel park the van in front of Pagsanjan church. She opens the back door of the van which reveals the computers on the inside. It is used to track the killer's location. Princess operates the computers and found out that the latest attack is near Caliraya, which is 6 kilometers away from them.

Hearing the exact location from Lyka, Jhon and Maria ride their motorcycle and head towards the location.

The radar on Maria's hand point at the old house in front of her. She signaled onto Jhon and Erwin who just arrived, to inspect the backyard of the house. The two followed her order and move to the backyards location while holding a gun on their hands. While Maria grabs the kunai that was on her thigh attach to the belt strap.

Maria's POV

I enter the house when we found nothing on the outside. I open the main door and check if it was clear. Then I signaled them to go upstairs when the living room is clear. Lyka holding a gun go directly to check the kitchen, while Mariel and Ivy check the room on the west side of the house.

I stop right in front of the door which looks so old. I twist the knob and it reveals the inside it has a stair leading down on the house basement. I step my right foot to go down and check the basement when I feel the cold wind that brush trough my bare skin. It sent shiver to my spine after realizing that it wasn't cause by an ordinary wind. There's something or someone down there. I mind-link Jhon to let him know that they need to go down and help me check the basement.

After a few minutes we all gather in front of the door. In my left hand I was holding a flashlight while aiming my gun. The temperature down here is freezing as we go further down the long stairs. The stair somehow took 100 step until we reach its end. The stair leads to a single room with I single lamp on the only table. It has a wooden floor and a brick wall. But what caught our attention is the full size antique mirror that is standing on the corner of the room.

Out of curiosity Jhon look through the mirror. His standing right there frozen, on his position with the expression on his face that as if he just saw something horrible. He is trembling with mix anger and fear on his face. I wanted to approach him and ask him if his alright but I was frightened when I see his eyes welled up in tears. He was hurt and so do I, I can feel his pain twice and it made me shout when a sudden shut of pain creeps from my chest. It is braking me I can't speak a single word when I fall right to the floor as I clutch my hands on my chest. I think it was our bond that was being torn for the reason that I don't know. I can't move in pain and before Ivy came to my direction and ask me what's going on, I glimpse on Jhon. He is still facing the mirror with the same expression, when Erwin grab him to get him back on his senses. Then my vision starts to blur as I lost my consciousness.

*** There were 12 men in black who attack them after Maria lost her consciousness. The three of them has a gun on their hands with a silver bullet. They aimed it right exactly on to Jhon, knowing that it is the kryptonite of the wolf aside from wolfs bane. But Ivy was fast as she waves her wand and chant some spell to guys and throw them on the other side of the room.
