Kirstin's POV
I just finished talking to the officer on the phone. He said that they had found Kevin's car, but no trace of him. If they couldn't find him in the next 48 hours, they would pronounce him dead. I didn't want to wait any longer, so I am taking matters into my own hands.
No matter what it takes.
Kevin's POV
Jeremy and Alyssa had just finished torturing me. What they forgot to do is to chain me up. Now is my time to escape. Just then, I heard plates fall on the ground then a thump after. I heard someone scream for help. It sounded like a woman, but I couldn't quite put a name to it.
Suddenly, the door opened, and Jeremy was dragging Alyssa by her hair into the room. I stayed quite, since I knew he would forget about me in all his rage. He kicked her in the stomach and yelled at her that she was nothing to him, and all he ever wanted was to end my family She was just an extra piece in his game to kill and destroy.
There was a gun next to me, and without thinking, I aimed at him and pulled the trigger. Then I saw his limp and lifeless body, surrounded in a pool of blood. I dropped the gun in shock. Alyssa looked at me with wide eyes, not expecting the sweet, kind, Teddy bear named Kevin Olusola would have the guts to shoot someone.
I reached out my hand to her, and she gladly received. Then she took the same gun and shot me in the arm. She backed me up against the wall with the gun pointed to my head. "If you want your family to live, you'll divorce Kirstin, take one child with you, and marry me. If not, I'll be the last thing they see."
Not wanting my family to die, I said yes, but on one condition: I would get to see them three times a week until I die. Now all I had to do was call Kirstin and divorce her. She said that I would take Ishmael with me, since she liked him more. She still had the gun to my head, so I couldn't refuse. If I die, Kirstin would end up in jail for killing Alyssa. I didn't want to be the cause of that.

It was done. Ishmael would be sent over here to live. Alyssa and I would get married, and Kirstin and Ashlynn would live with Avi. She told the police she had found me. She lied and said that I was just lost, but my phone died, so I couldn't call anyone.
Alyssa gave me new clothes and bandaged my wounds. Immediately, she went from an evil woman looking for revenge to a literal angel. But I knew it was all just a act, and one day, I would right the wrongs she made to my family.
