5 - So Close

-Jay's pov-

I didn't realize she was already half awake and staring and smiling at me. Her gorgeous smile piercing through me as my heart skipped faster than ever before. The things I would do to her so she can be mine.

"Morning, bird." she said with her soft voice. She scratched her eyes and sat up then stretched. "What time is it?" She asked

"Oh, it's half past six." I answered, hoping she didn't notice I was gazing at her curvy figure.

"I need to get home, get my ass kicked and get ready for school." She sighed

"Oh, I can take you home so you would be less dead." I chuckled

"Sounds fine but You and Nath might need the ride back to the uni later. I don't want you two to be late." she responded

"No, Nath would have to take the cab." I chuckled

"No, we have to take a cab." She smiled

"Alright, seems like you've got it planned. Go get ready." I grinned then she stood up and walked towards me. She tiptoed and gave me a kiss on the cheek which made me  gasp for air afterwards. Is that what she's doing to me? Making me gasp for air like I'm being choked? That's it, hands down, I'm falling for her... Falling for her hard. 

-Lauren's pov-

I went to the bathroom and put on my jeans and shirt that I wore last night. I didn't know what came over me when I kissed Jay on his cheek. After I kissed him... I felt like electricity surged through my body because of my imaginations... the things I would do to him.... WAIT WHAT!? Snap out of it, Lau. Don't let your guard down... But he's like Daniel! The way he makes me smile and the way he makes me feel. Sure, he doesn't look like him or whatever but this is the exact same feeling when Daniel and I became friends then best friends... then a couple. I washed my face and wiped it with tissue paper. I looked at myself in the mirror and sighed. I brushed my black painted nail polish through my brown hair and I went out of the bathroom. I headed to the living room and I saw Nathan already up.

"Woke up early for Uni today, aye, Nath?" I asked

"Yeah, I miss sleeping through the morning, though." He sighed, flipping through the pages of his book.

"You've already a big test coming up?" I startled

"Yeah, psychology is sometimes really challenging." He replied while I pursed my lips and nodded.

"Where's Jay?" I asked

"Oh, he's just getting ready." He answered then took a sip of his tea. Ten minutes later, Jay went out in his folded brown chinos and a polo shirt... he looked absolutely delish.

"Cute," I grinned

"Why thank you. I bought these last night."

"Bye, Nath, I'll see you later." Jay said and Nathan just nodded while continuing to study. We actually had a quiet drive to my house because maybe my kiss was too awkward for him.

"So, um thanks a lot, Jay. I'll see you at Uni later... possibly." I sighed

"I'm sure I will." He smiled then I walked out of the car then I watched it leave until it disappeared. Then, I turned my face towards the door and opened it. I quietly closed it and I heard the noise of the TV from the living room. I took off my shoes and went to my room. I got inside the bathroom, looking at what to wear and I pulled out my grey printed shirt, denim shorts, and sneakers then I took a shower and put them on. I finished it off with a dog tag necklace and a grey beanie then I got my things and I went to school with Michael.

"Same drill, half past four." He said

"Yes, dad." I teased as he let out a chuckle. I wish Michael could be my real dad for a day. He's so much fun and he also makes me laugh while he tells me some jokes from his past. I walked around the campus and I found my way going to the art room for some well... art. I pulled out a canvas then started tucking my lower lip under my teeth then I started brushing some dark colours on the left side of the canvas then bright ont he opposite side. I drew night and day together then a girl in between those night and day holding a single red rose close to her chest with her hair covering her face. I drew petals falling down from the rose and finished it off with rain. Then suddenly, someone knocked on the door and I noticed, it was Jay. I got my things and went out of the art room.

"What do you think you're doing in there, missy?" He asked, his warming smile spread across his face. "You do know you're already late for your first class?" He added and I just nodded with a smile. "So, what were you doing in there?" He asked again.

"Nothing, just doing my favourite past time." I shrugged as he looked sideways then to me then the corridor. "What are you looking for, Jay?" I asked but he didn't answer. He got my arms and slowly backed me up against the wall... Oh I get it. His body was close to mine as well as lips. I can feel my heart raise and I can feel his warm breath kiss my lips. The next thing I knew, his lips were hovering over mine. It was about to brush with my lips when we heard students walk out of the classrooms. He startled and walked a step back. I looked at him and his cheeks were pink.

"Oh... um... I'll - uh... I'll see you around." He stuttered. I watched him walk away from me until he disappeared into the crowd. I smiled to myself and just repeated the moment in my head. The moment made me forget about the fact I skipped my first subject. That was just... so close.

AW SO FRIGGIN' CLOSE! STAY TUNED. STILL THINKING IF THEY SHOULD "DO IT" AFTER THIS OR NOT?
