A walk around Needham Lake is the perfect place to be,
Many of happy faces, lots to do and see.
As the sun beats down I try to catch some rays,
It is so peaceful; I could stop here for days.
A swan exits from the water and expands its pearly wings,
A mallard by its mother open up its beak and sings.
Five yellow baby chicks go bobbing up the stream,
With mum keeping check, there are six in her team.
The climate is increasing as I’m topping up my tan,
I am thinking of an ice cream from the ice cream van.
Now the sun is fading, its time to think of home,
Parents begin to pack away, children start to moan.
I have really enjoyed today, I will be back very soon,
Nothing is planned for tomorrow; I am back here after noon.
