For the second time that week, Myra woke to the screeching of Noctis as he bounced up and down on her bed. The blonde just blinked at him, hoping that he would go away so that she could go back to sleep for a little bit longer.

But the little Ignis loquitur persisted and shoved his head under her, trying to push her out of bed. Myra huffed at him, but he kept doing it.

Finally, the wandmaker gave in and heaves herself out of bed. Once she had done so, Noctis resumed his bouncing and lept off the bed so that he could lead her out of her room, tail swinging happily.

The blonde followed him, slightly amused and slightly annoyed that he had woken her up so early. These emotions quickly turned to shock when she went through the doorway to the main room of the cottage.

Directly in the center of the room was a giant pile of dragon fruit. Both Aurum and Viride stood proudly next to it while Credence stood behind it nervously, a small box in his grasp.

"How in the name of Deliverance Dane did-" Myra started, looking at the giant pile of what was arguably her favorite fruit, "Thank you."

Her three Ignis loquitur tackled her to the ground, licking her face. After a while, they retreated and let her stand back up, looking over at Credence instead.

Credence hesitantly stepped forward, "Miss Goldstein helped me make this for you."

He held out the tiny box to her and Myra accepted it with a smile. When she lifted up the lid, she was greeted with a crudely sculpted wooden dragon, made of what seemed to be made of alder wood.

"I hope you don't mind, but I borrowed your book to make sure that I made it out of the right wood."

Myra grinned, alder wood meant that the person was helpful, considerate, likeable; "Thank you, Credence. It's wonderful."

The obscurial smiled as well, and the tiny dragon seemed to agree with the blonde as it unfurled its wooden wings and yawned. All three Ignis Loquitur crowded around as the little version of them stretched and fluttered its wings experimentally. Credence only stumbled slightly when Viride landed on his shoulder (an occurrence that had become more and more frequent) so that she could lean down and push the little wooden creature out of the box. Myra reacted immediately, but it seemed that her outstretched hand wasn't needed as Credence's dragon flapped its wings and flew up to settle in his hair.

The blonde couldn't help but smile, with every day that passed, her... son, of sorts, was becoming more and more comfortable and outgoing. He still had moments where he flinched when someone bumped into him on the street or shrunk into himself when he thought he did something wrong, but he was also starting to speak up and know that Myra would never hurt him. And that was one of the best parts of being able to help him; being able to gain his trust and be worthy of it... just as a mother should.

Guys! I did it! I finally finished another one-shot! You can thank my mother for this because gathering the entire family to watch FBaWtFT again, giving me the inspiration I needed. Which, speaking of my mother, she actually read Echos this past week and then proceeded to say that she didn't particularly like the movie without Myra in it. I'm not really sure how to feel about that one as on one hand, it's a big compliment, and on the other, she just said that she didn't like Fantastic Beasts. But anyway, I hope that you've all been doing well and that you enjoyed this little one-shot. I haven't been doing very many one-shots with Newt in them, surprisingly, but I'm thinking of doing one with both him and Credence (it would be the one closest to the end of the movie as it would be a Christmas one-shot and all of the chapters I've done thus far have taken place after New Years (or what can be assumed as after New Years)). Anyway, thank you all so much for everything and I hope that you'll all have a fantastic (heh, pun) day.
