Chapter 6

"Just to make it clear, we are still in the "before ViceRylle" section," I drew my imaginary timeline again in the air and made a dot, "and the stories I've been sharing with you are not all in order. It's just according to what I think fits the moment." I explained to them.

A lady from the audience raised her hand. She looks like in her early 30s and she's wearing a round-shaped kind of Harry Potter glasses and her hair is tied up in a bun. She kind of reminds me of my Maths teacher in high school.

"Yes? What's your question for me?" I asked.

"Knowing both of your parents are full of pride and are in denial, sino ang unang na-develop sakanila?" She asked me and people started murmuring their answers. Before I could even answer, some people were already shouting out their opinions.

"Feeling ko si Karylle." One of the men said. He was sitting just few rows away from the stage so I could still see his face and hey, I know this man. He was our photographer in my parents' wedding. Yeah, siya nga. How cool is it that he's here? And I'm guessing he remembers me, well of course. Why else would he be here?

"Ako rin. She may seem masungit lang pero deep inside she has feelings for Vice. I feel like ever since that night at the bar, she has already fallen for him. Parang love at first sight." Said the girl at the front row. She looks young, probably 15? She kinda looks like Velma from Scooby-Doo. I think it's because of her hair and the glasses. And oh my gosh, her orange turtleneck sweater. Yup, definitely Velma.

"I feel like Vice fell first. Ba-bakla bakla lang siya pero yung totoo bet na bet nya si Karylle kaya lagi nya siya inaasar. Ganyan yan si Vice." Said the other girl at the front row.

More people shared their thoughts and I just smiled and laughed at some of their comments about my parents. It feels good to see how they are already attached to the characters. It somehow makes me feel that I'm a good story-teller.

"You're right. Both of them are so in denial about their feelings. Especially, my mom. But I'm very sure she fell in love first. I just know her too well." I said, giving away a smirk.

"Tristan, mamaya na yan. Dinner is ready." Shouted Karylle from the kitchen. Tristan did not need to be told twice. He paused his game then he rushed to the dining table.

His face dropped when Karylle placed down the food in front of him. The amount of the color green overpowered the meat on his plate. That's probably the reason why green was his least favorite color.

"Ubusin mo yan ah."

Tristan simply separated the vegetables from the chicken wings while his mom was busy using her phone. He kept glancing at her just to make sure he wouldn't get caught. He noticed the sudden smile that formed on the side of her lips. It was a different kind of smile. It wasn't like the kind of smile she gives him.

"Is that Dada?" He asked her before putting a spoonful of rice and chicken into his mouth.

She looked at her son who was smiling at her while chewing his food.

"Yes."

"What did he say?"

"He was just asking if he could come over tomorrow." Karylle shrugged her shoulders. Tristan finished chewing his food first before speaking.

"And...?" He was now looking at his mom intently.

"I said he can. He's your father after all." She said after putting her phone down and started eating.
