Chapter 12

"When it was just me and my mom, we celebrate Valentine's day together. I'm always her date. She said that she didn't need a man because she got me. I'm her forever boyfriend." I said with a proud grin.

"Every Valentine's day, we'd have dinner outside. It's one of my favorite occasion because she lets me eat chocolates. Lots of them." I said and gave a cheeky grin.

"My parents' first Valentine's as a couple was pretty epic. Dada and I pranked her into thinking that we forgot about the occasion, like it was just a normal day. Mommy didn't say anything at first but we could really tell na nagtatampo siya samin ni Dada. Kasi ni-walang greet or pa-flowers."

"I know, we're so bad." I said and frowned when the crowd went "aww".

Karylle woke up to loud music coming from downstairs. She stretched her arms and followed where the noise was coming from, then she found her boyfriend and her son at the kitchen singing while Vice was cooking breakfast.

"Oh, won't you stay just a little bit longer?" Vice sang while flipping pancakes and swinging his hips.

"Oh, won't you please. Say you will." Came in Tristan who was holding a fork as a mic then he passed the "mic" to Vice.

"Say you will." Vice sang in high-pitched.

Karylle who was watching from a distance held back her laughter. She watched as her boyfriend and her little boy have a concert of their own. Vice used the spatula as his mic and sang along to Dreamhouse's Stay (Just a little bit longer). Karylle giggled when Tristan tried to rap but ended up sounding gibberish.

It was only when Vice turned around he realized that Karylle was already awake.

"Oh, Mommy. Gising ka na pala. Good morning!" Vice said as he transferred the last pancake from the pan to the plate. Tristan rushed to the living room to stop the music.

"You weren't supposed to wake up yet! Dada and I were supposed to bring you breakfast in bed." Said the little boy who seemed a little disappointed.

"I think nagising siya sa concert natin." Vice whispered to Tristan but Karylle still heard it and chuckled.

Vice pulled out a chair for her and she smiled sweetly at him before sitting down. Gentleman, as always. She was waiting for them to greet her but they didn't. She just shrugged it off and looked at the table. Pancakes, toasts, eggs & bacon were served on the table.

"Big breakfast, huh?" Karylle commented before taking a toast but Vice beat her to it and put the toast on her plate and added some bacon and eggs.

"Naglilihi na naman yata 'tong anak natin e, dami na naman cravings." Vice teased.

"Why do you always say that? I don't even know what that means." Tristan argued before putting a strip of bacon into his mouth.

"Niloloko mo na naman 'tong anak natin. Just eat your breakfast, sweetie. May school ka pa." Karylle reminded the little boy.

"Mommy, I have a field trip today." Tristan said, mouthful.

"Today? What time will you finish? Chew your food first. Don't talk when your mouth is full." She said and Tristan finished chewing the food first before answering her.
