Kent's Point of View

I entered the room.

It was a stimulated room. Grids surrounding the whole rooms. Green lines and black boxes. I saw this in a game before but I don't quite remember.

A systemic woman's voice broke the silence, "Kent Michaels of Earth. The Lieutenant would like to speak with you."

A steel hatch appeared in front of me.

"Please enter the hatch." said the system.

I walked towards the hatch and spun the lock.

The hatch opened with a *PSHHHH* sound as smoke rose from the side.

I stepped inside and found a gray room. There was a table, two chairs and glass acetate on the right wall. Like someone would be watching us.

A tall man was sitting on the chair. He was wearing a black suit with straps on the edges and a bullet proof vest. I can't make up his face because the beret covered half of it.

He gestured me to come close, "Sit down, boy."

I walked towards him and sat at the other chair. I was in front of him. My whole body is shuddering. Because of nervousness? Maybe 50%. The other 50%? The room was freezing as Antartica.

He fixed his beret and I got a clear look of his face.

He wasn't human. That's for sure. His skin tone was pale, almost ashened. He had red bloodshot eyes and a real major scar on the left of his face. He had a strong aura. I could feel my hair tingling because of it.

He had characteristics of a human but I know he wasn't one. Why?

He had 4 ears. And he bared fangs.

His ears were divided 2-2 while his fangs? Not considerably fangs. His teeth are fangs. So no fangs. His teeth was razor sharp as he grinned.

"I feel you fear me boy. Do not. As far as I know, I should be fearing you." I got confused with what he said.

Why would he fear me?

"You ask yourself the question. I think you would know later." He mumbled.

"I don't usually meet with new citizens, but for you I'll make an exception." A cold shiver went through me. "As the system said, I am the city's lieutenant. Every city is given one lieutenant to rule over military purposes. Not politically."

"I came here to talk to you about your entrance into this world."

I gave him a questioned look and asked, "What's your real incentive here? Be straight forward. Don't talk to me with that warm welcome speech."

He sneered, "Arrogant eh? Well, my real purpose here is to tell you about the problems you've been giving."

Problems I've been giving?

"You see, any foreign life form who comes to our dimension via portal doesn't affect the course of life. But you? You shook the core of the city when you entered. And shaking the city core was never any good. You affected the electric circuits and the power sources around the city. You are giving a bad omen to my homeland. Or maybe the whole dimension." He said darkly.

"Your very presence here is dangerous, child. I will not harm you in any way. But you know I can if the city comes to risk because of your doings. Your presence is grimly unfortunate. Somehow you possess a great power. But an unstable one." He looked down as if he was recalling something. "For that power of yours, I will not be telling you that. You will be the one to figure it out. But have in mind that I fear you for the power you possess. Wouldn't you like that? A lieutenant of the city, fearing you?" He said ironically.

"I wouldn't like it. Makes me feel paranoid about myself." I answered.

"You are quite different from the others, I see. Arrogant but lacks self confidence? Hmpf! Never heard of that show. But I might as consider buying your tickets to the spectacularity you'll be presenting."

I tried to understand the thought he was implying but all that came out from my mouth was, "Look, I'm no showman. I ain't some magician showing magic tricks and entertaining people. And I do not want the attention you want to give me."

He looked at the ceiling and smiled grimly. "No, I think you are a magician. I sense that you would use your prowess to deceive the likes of others. But of course, every magician has their own secret right?"

"Stop talking with metaphors and puns, they ruin my mind." I groaned so I could end the conversation.

We were silent for a short while until I broke the silence.

"So we talk about my dilemmas and not my powers? So much for evaluation." I murmured.

"Very arrogant, child. Perhaps I should turn you to a bloody pulp. Yet I follow orders. I will dismiss you instead." He gestured me to stand up and I followed his orders.

I turned around and was about to walk away when he suddenly appeared on my back and held my shoulder.

I felt a chill down my spine.

"Do not say of this to anyone child. I warn you. Do not tell not even your closest allies about talking with the lieutenant. Make up another excuse to cover up everything we talked about. Explain everything when you are sure about your abilities Magician." He whispered coldly.

He walked away and I woke up from being frozen and continued stepping out of the room.

The hatch disappeared behind me and the door that leads back outside suddenly appeared.

I went out and scanned to find Eliza and Fred in the waiting room.

I couldn't see them. The room wasn't even crowded but I couldn't see them.

Did they leave me?

I went outside of the customs building and into the streets. I tried to look at restaurants cause maybe they ate without me but I found nothing.

I was miles away from the building when I saw a blonde girl with a blue shirt.

I took off and ran after her . . .

*splash*

But then I fell deep. I landed on water and made a cannon ball sound. A big splash.

I looked around and found sewer systems. Steel sewer systems that were clean. I looked down and found out that the water I landed on was gleaming faded gold. The water was clean. Not rejuvenating ( I didn't try to drink) but clean. It was cool here.

Cool until I realized that I just fell to a big, obvious hole that anyone can see on the streets.

How stupid is that?
