Kent's Point of View
We left the plaza and walked south while she told me where she would bring me to.
Here's the list of places
• Museum of Diversities
•Biggest Dumpsite
•Planetary PortalsShe brought me to the museum. Emphasis HUGE. It was big for a collection of old artifacts and stuff.
We went in while the security dude looked at me suspiciously.
I stared at him blankly and he turned away.
That was weird.
I concentrated on my objective while entering the museum. It wasn't too crowded but there was a lot of people.
The girl scout led me to the leaders section, pictures of different aliens dressed as political presidents.
"He was the city founder." She pointed to a oak tree-looking guy.
Those tree things. . .
"His kind still lives, but as harmless herbivores south of the city." She added.
That confirms my guess. I ignored the thought and focused on what she was saying.
She pointed out to a bunch of other alien portraits and some things they did. One made the defensive system of the city, which was fascinating. She explained some more until I decided to ask something.
I pointed at a portrait of a man at the end of the row. He had a beard. He had slim brown hair and piercing blue eyes. Wrinkles appeared as he smiled happily in the frame.
"Is that Genesis?" I asked.
She was startled. She turned to me in a sad look.
"Yep. He was the best," she frowned, "he was the only leader who looked at any kind without being biased. He didn't see a division in the diversities, he saw all aliens equal. He played a great role in the city, but also in my life."
She started to tear up a little, "To be honest, I owe my life to him."
"Why?"
"When I was 5, my mom and dad got caught in the Great Domination. It was these Mercions. They wanted to rule over the dimension and decide to destroy every city to make the people their slaves. MegaSities was the last city left. Genesis was a mere soldier when the Mercions ambushed the city and took my mom and dad,"she sniffed," I hid in the closet and saw the whole thing. I was there for a day but then the Mercions decided on a second opinion and scanned all the houses again. This time they found me in the closet. Three armed Mercions stared at me. I closed my eyes, but when I opened them. . . The three were down on the ground. Behind them was Lord Genesis. He had a suit of mech armor and carried me out of the house and into the evacuation base."
He's powerful. That's for sure.
"He promised me that he'll bring my mom and dad back, then he left with a smile, the same smile he had in the frame," she pointed at the picture, "three days after the expedition to bring down the Mercion's main ship, Genesis returned with all the victims and wounded allies. He reported to the General that the ruler of MegaSities was executed during the process. He was the only one standing straight while all his other allies were injured. He was a hero but he was frightened at the same time. After talking with the general, he walked towards me and whispered something in my ear. . . "
