Kent's Point Of View

I ran away from the prison yard and into the fray.

I felt water droplets as I started to slow down.

When I felt safe, I tried to find shelter.

It was pretty hard, considering my situation. Being a convict and a guy who doesn't know the city well.

I walked around, trying to find bridges, or even abandoned warehouses.

Thunder struck the sky. The water droplets multiplied amass.

It began to rain.

"How lucky is this?" I yelled at the sky.

I walked through mud while finding anything with a roof.

After a few minutes of getting soaked in the rain, I found a house in the middle of nowhere.

It was the only house in the place. I walked towards it.

At first, I hesitated. The house looked pretty old. And haunted.

You don't have a choice.

I stepped at the front door and rang the doorbell.

An alien opened the door.

He was short. First thing I noticed was his height. But then he had this gooey beard and bald head so I figured he might be old.

I spoke with an innocent tone, "Sorry to bother sir, but can I stay here till the rain stops?"

He looked confused. Then his eyes widened.

He gestured at me to wait. He ran back to his house but immediately returned with a speaker and a mic.

He planted the speaker on the wooden floor of his house.

He started to speak, "There's a room upstairs," he pointed to the stairs.

"Run to the stairs and change your wet clothes. Then clean the mess you'll make on my floor." He added.

What he said didn't really match his appearance. He looked bubbly but he had a different personality.

I followed what he said and ran quickly upstairs.

The floor had one room then all spaces. It was unusual but let's not be curious.

I entered the room. Dust fell as the door creaked open. Every step I make sounds the wooden planks on the floor.

I flicked the light switch and a faded light bulb lit the room.

The room was pretty old. Cobwebs and dust were scattered around the room. There was no bed or anything at all. Just a door to the bathroom.

I locked the front door and dumped my wet bag on the floor.

I felt a weird feeling. Something wasn't right.
