Kent's Point of View
I shove my hand through the lasers just as the system said.
Just so you know, I took my shirt off and covered it on my hand, leaving me with a undershirt.
I felt my flesh smoking, the Tshirt already wore off. I clicked the lower button on the panel.
To my luck, the bars went off but I had to step back and hold my arm.
It was half black. And it felt like hell. Imagine shoving your hand through a 300% concentrate of alcohol. You wouldn't even be close to feel the pain I just felt.
I took a deep breath. I didn't have time to complain about the pain.
I stood up and went out of my cell.
It was completely dark. I couldn't see a thing.
The darkness descended slowly. A moment later everything was visible.
Night vision.
These lenses are really a big advantage.
I made my way and navigated through the prison like I knew this place before.
I was about to go to the inventory to grab my bag and escape, but then I froze in my tracks as a voice spoke.
"I can see you," he said with a deep, cold voice, "free me, and we'll both escape this wretched place."
I felt a chill down my spine. He had the aura of a real criminal. It was scary.
"Now isn't the time to think if I'm bad or good. I can only promise you freedom if you would free me from my cell." He persuaded.
He was right. I don't have nothing to lose. I'm the same guy as him. A convict.
I pressed the panel and turned off his security bars.
He came out of the dark.
He was 8 feet tall. He had no shirt on, but what scared me is his skin.
His skin was gray. Like ash. You could see his veins as scarlet magmas flowing through his body.
My hands started shaking. He had a scar up his face. He had short, military cut hair. His eyes were pure black. No visible white marks. Pure black.
"Move it. We don't have time." He grunted.
I set my fear aside and went to the inventory.
There were different lockers. Almost five hundred. I found a log book on the table and tried to find my name.
489
I started searching while the magma guy volunteered for look-out.
