"She was a bird, I had caged, that had forgotten how to fly, but dreamed of clouds, when she closed her eyes." - Atticus

Epilogue

When the arrow pierced through her heart, her momentum faltered... the wind no longer helped her stay up until the silver sails behind her gave in and fell.

Her arms stretched out, trying to reach for something... anything she could hold on to but she met nothing but air - air that once kept her above now is dragging her down.

She lay on the ground withering, gasping, trying to catch her breath.

The tip of the arrow was coated with something red. Tumutulo ito pababa hanggang sa damit niya.

She tasted something metallic in her mouth. Siguro dulot ito ng pag bagsak niya. Her head hurts too. She moaned in pain. Her hand drifted to the arrow sticking through her heart. Sinubukan niya tanggalin ito but it only caused her more pain.

Hindi niya alam kung gaano siya katagal nanatiling naka higa sa lupa.

She's is getting weaker and weaker as each second pass by.

"Shit"

Her blurry vision locked on a woman who's kneeling before her. Ang pula nitong buhok ay nag bigay kulay sa madilim na paligid.

"What are you?"

That was the last thing she heard before surrendering herself to the light of the moon.

The Angel surged through the wind, he felt something was going to happen tonight.

Nang malaman niyang may isang nawawala sa mga Nephilims nila, he immediately flew out to find her and when he did... his heart broke.

She was lying on the ground slowly breathing and badly bruised. The silver arrow on her heart gleamed in the moonlight. May isang babaeng naka luhod sa tabi nito. Bakas sa mga mata ng babae ang pagka lito. Hindi nito alam ang gagawin.

Fist clenching, he flew down and knelt beside his dying nephilim.

"What did you do to her?" He shot a hateful glare to the red haired woman.

Her confused eyes suddenly turned curious. Her stare passed through him and settled on the golden plush wings on his back.

He decided not to question her. He needs to save his nephilim.

He gathered her in his arm. Konti nalang ang oras niya dahil pabagal nang pabagal na ang pag hinga nito. The woman steps back in shock with his sudden movement.

He looks at her one last time before surging through the sky once again.

Unti-unting dumidilim ang langit and by the time he got back to Mermont, sunod-sunod nang pumapatak ang ulan.

"Aisling! Amarande!" He called his siblings, his voice ringing loudy through the empty castle.

He looks down at the dying girl in his arms.

He saved her once... he can save her again...

His two siblings rushed to his side. Wala na silang sinayang na oras and performed the ritual right then and there.

The nephilim's body floated as the three of them surrounded it. They gathered and essence as physical form slowly turns to ash. White smoke seeped through her bloodied lips. Her last breath - her spirit.
