Chapter 2: S-rank misson

(Past)

Hinata hid behind a wall as she watch Naruto off to a mission. He would be gone for two years.

Naruto-kun, you've grown into someone everyone looks up to. You were just a kid that everyone dislikes for a reason I once did not know. All I saw was a person that has a kind heart and a strong will. I've started looking up to you since that time you saved me from the kids who are bullying me because of my eyes. You even got your scarf torn up back then. Since that day, I've started to admire you for the person you truly are. Now, everyone is seeing the person I've always seen you as. I'm happy for you, Naruto-kun.

Hinata watched as Naruto joked around with Sakura and Sasuke. Naruto is trying to make a move on Sakura but then Sakura always rejects him by punching him away from her. She looks at Sasuke with eyes filled with love for him. Everyone is happy that Sasuke has came back to Konoha. Though it is more seen on Naruto and Sakura's faces. The team 7 is back.

Sasuke's head turned around. His and Hinata's eyes met. Hinata hurriedly hid behind the wall. She was worried Sasuke will tell Naruto she was creepily hiding here and watching them from a far.

"Oy! Hinata!" She heard Kiba's voice called from behind. She turn around and saw Akamaru running towards her. Akamaru then put both his front paws on Hinata's shoulder and licked her face. She chuckled at Akamaru's enthusiastic appeal to her. Once Akamaru has finished smothering her with kisses, he got off her and stand beside her.

"Kiba-kun, Shino-kun" Hinata greeted "what are you guys doing here?"

"Me and Shino were tasked by Kurenai-sensei to get a wine that is from the Sarutobi's clan's tradition"

"Hinata, are you watching Naruto-off from afar again?" Shino asked in a serious tone. Hinata then just blushed and looked away from them. "Hinata, I think you should confess to Naruto already, nasenara—"

"What's holding you back, Hinata?" Kiba asked cutting Shino off.

"I just don't feel like I'm worthy to confess to Naruto yet. He's so far compare to my skills"

"The only person who can level with Naruto in terms of strength is Sasuke, nasenara—"

"You don't have to level Naruto Hinata. Trust on yourself" Kiba said.

An idea popped inside Hinata's mind. It might be a little off her comfort zone but she wants to give it a try.

"Kiba-kun, Shino-kun, I have to go" She bowed to them and dashed off. She heard Kiba called after her but she didn't look back.

She wanted to get stronger to catch up to Naruto. The only person who can train her is Sasuke. She know there's a huge percent of Sasuke saying no. Though she would regret it if she didn't try.

She's in front of Sasuke's door hoping he's home and hoping he'll say yes.  She raised her hand to Sasuke's door then put it back on her side. She did this for about ten times. She decided to ask Sasuke tomorrow when she has gathered up the confidence to ask him.

"I wonder how many times you've been here doing that exact same thing" Hinata jumped. She turned around and saw Sasuke standing behind her. "What are you doing here, Hyuga?"

"S-Sasuke-kun" Hinata took a step back from Sasuke. Sasuke looked at her waiting for her to explain why she's in front of his apartment. Her face heated up out of embarrassment. "Ano... I-it's nothing" she scurried away from Sasuke. She was pushed backwards when Sasuke flickered in front of her.

"I hate people who leave me hanging" Sasuke told Hinata. "What is it that you want to tell me?"

"I want... I want to ask you, t-to train me" she gulped after spatting her reason. Sasuke's eyes didn't left hers. She felt uncomfortable but she want to get his approval and that involves being confident and face him eye to eye.
