Chapter 1: Shion

Hinata was enthusiastic on the thought that Naruto is coming back from his secret mission. He was gone for almost a year and from all those years she has gathered up enough confidence to confess to him. She even finished the scarf she made for him. It was identical with the scarf he was wearing when he first save her from her bullies. Ever since then she had always looked up to him and admired him. She even got her nindo based on him.

"Hinata-sama" Neji called to her. She sat up from her desk to greet Neji.

"Neji-neesan, what brings you here?" Hinata asked in her soft voice.

"Hokage-sama asked your presence you should make haste" Neji said and started walking away "also, Naruto has arrived" Neji added.

Hinata's eyes sparkled by hearing Naruto's name. Her face heated up as she pulled the scarf she made for Naruto that was on her hands close to her. She could not believe the time has came when she finally get to confess to Naruto. She immediately change her clothes into her fighting gear before leaving the Hyuga household.

Hinata was walking so fast almost as if she was running. She did not look at anywhere but the road that leads to the Hokage office where Naruto would be. She heard someone calling her name but she didn't budge and continued walking to the Hokage's office.

She was at the door hesitating on whether she should go inside or hide until Naruto leaves so she won't get flustered in front of everyone. She heard Kakashi's surprised voice through the door.

"Eh?!!! You two are planning on tying the knots?" Kakashi exclaimed. "Oy, Naruto, are you serious about this? As I recall you were crazy about Sakura"

"Kakashi-sensei" Naruto whined. "I was a kid back then. I think I had feelings for Sakura because I don't want to lose to Sasuke. But now, it's different. With Shion, I could truly see myself being complete"

"Shion-chan, are you really sure about this dobe?" Kakashi asked in disbelief.

"He might be a bit cocky, he's not the brightest but he stands by what he says, and for some reason he made my life unpredictable which is full of predictions" Hinata heared an unfamiliar voice spoke. She heard enough. She took a step back as she was processing what she had heard. Tying the knots? Naruto? Who is Shion? Shion completes Naruto? All these questions came flooding up on her head.  She needed to leave. She don't want to see Naruto because she don't know how to pace herself with the new information she had received.  She blasted out from the front of the door of the Hokage's office that she did not notice the person she bumped into and dropped the bag that contained Naruto's scarf.

She ran into the woods where she often trained when she was a kid. She felt so week. Her head was so light almost like she was floating. Is this a dream? She thought over and over again as she tries to hold back the tears that's threatening to escape from her eyes.

Flashback
Hinata is training with her might. She wants to get stronger so Naruto will notice her. She was already on Team 8's training area since dawn.

"Hinata?" once she heard that voice called for her, her face heated up.

"N-naruto-kun" she said acknowledging his presence. "You're going against Neji-neesan today right?"

"Hm, and I'm going to win, for you" Hinata blushed even more.

"B-but--"

"I never go back on my words. That's my ninja way"

"Hm" Hianta nodded.

Naruto started running to the location because it seemed like he's already late. "You should come and watch... Hinata... I like people like you"
