Lin took Jon and the boys to an ice cream shop not to far from the house. When they got there the family saw something that shocked them.
As they arrived there was a young boy around the age of 17 outside of the shop crying while other kids stood around him laughing and pointing at him.
Jon ran over and separated the kids and scaring off the ones bullying the boy on the ground. He helped the boy up who was crying when he noticed something. "Hey you're Evan from the plane a few weeks back." He said.
The boy looked up. "W-Wait Jonathan Groff? Waoh Jonathan Groff just s-saved me from the bullies." He said looking back down wiping his hands on his shirt.
Lin walked over with the boys. "Jon, babe whats going on? Oh hey isn't that the kid from the airplane?"
Jon nodded. "Yeah, so Evan why were those kids being so mean to you?" He asked gently putting a hand on Evan's shoulder.
Evan looked at his shoes and shifted slightly. "W-Well I just don't really fit in. I n-never really have. " he said quietly felling tears on his cheeks.
Jon frowned and looked at Evan "Hey, look at me. There is no need to get upset. If they don't accept you then screw them." He said hugging the boy. "You are awesome and if they don't see it then they don't deserve to know you."
Evan looked at Jon. "Y-you know my mom used to say things like that. She s-she died last month. (IM SORRY) "
Jon held the boy tightly. "Shhhh Evan would you like to stay with me and Lin for a while?" He asked looking at Lin who nodded. "Yeah we hate to see anyone so upset. Especially someone so awesome." Lin said rubbing the boys back.
Evan gasped and looke up at the two. "R-Really? You would do that for me?"
They both nodded and smiled. Evan smiled and hugged them tightly. "Thank you so much!"
