Kabanata 3
Dumaan ang mga araw na hindi ko namamalayan. The tick of the clock was so unnoticeable, like a wind that blows invisibly at the vicinity. A startling chime of a clock just awoke me from my slumber. I yawned and tiredly tucked my lids upward.
First thing I saw was the orange light of the sun, penetrating the glass-wall of my condominium unit. I groaned for it, I want another tranquil sleep, but apparently, I need to settle myself because of my studies. Studies, I thought. I was really thinking of dropping off all my subjects and act as if I was an ill of my family? Well, I was putting myself for another humiliation from my Father if that would happen. Humiliation my ass.
I fumbled my clock and tried to get it off before I could havoc it to death for giving a headache because of its sounds. When I finally clutched onto it, I switched it off. I sat up, making me view the vivid skyscraper of Makati. I really love seeing sublime images like this— it so heartwarming.
I scratched my head once and leapt our of my bed. I stalked out my room without worries about my morning face. I yawned and stretched my hands. I was wearing only a black spaghetti strap and a short-shorts. The weather was not warm so I should really need to dress like this.
An aroma of cooked food just assaulted my nostrils. My forehead crumbled for bewilderment and took my pace toward the kitchen. When I saw Zach with his naked back, slightly flexing because of his movement, I suddenly recalled what happened last night. Well, he went into fight and needed to blow off some steams. I scrutinized his muscular back, how the rocks of it flexed and defined were making me want to touch it, to feel it if those were hard. Of course!
One bead of sweat just ran down to his defined muscles. I chewed my tongue as I trudged toward my seat. I pulled it and when it blared, Zach instantly looked at me with his beaming eyes. I rolled my eyes.
"Morning," he greeted.
"Hindi ka pa umalis?"
He shrugged, "I went back in my condo when you were still asleep. Uh, do you want fried food, right?"
I shook my head, "Not so much. I need to watch my body. I don't want to get fat," I grimaced when I said the word fat, Geez.
He smiled devilishly— like he had pondered for a better idea. I just dismissed my interest of what he was thinking and propped my hand on my wilting neck. I watched him move, remained my head like a statue, only my eyes were moving. Zach was definitely a god from Mount Olympus, his physique was making me dizzy yet making me wet. His large frame makes me think that if I stood right beside him, I dwindled.
He has this kind of eyes— brown. That was the first thing I'd noticed when we met. Zachary was every girls' dream, a body that such obscenely attractive, a face that was like sculpted by a famous artist in the Renaissance period. His perfect angled jaw was flawless, together with his nose that sublimely carved, and a defined thick eyebrows. But I don't know why I wasn't attracted to him, besides, I was feeling the opposite— annoyed.
"You did not yet finish your project?" he asked while holding the food in the plate with a thong wrapped on his hand.
I shook my head, "I don't know how to do it,"
"Give it to me, then. I will make it—"
I didn't let him finish and looked at him with unbelievable eyes, "Hindi nga?"
He protruded his lips, "I always do your works. Don't ask as if it was so shocking."
I glared at him and took hotdog using my bare hand. I winced in pain when I felt the blazing skin of it. He looked at me with accusing look. He turned his back to me and took a fork for me.
