DISCLAIMER: I wrote this in English except for some of the convos, I'm sorry. It's pretty hard to veer away from the language since I've been writing formal papers these past months. In addition to that, I'm slowly trying to get back to my Wattpad-writing self. So please bare with me if it doesn't match your expectations.

Sorry for the long wait, too! Enjoy reading!

Don't forget to play the song. It's been a staple on my playlist for a week now! ✌and 💙!!!

He was growing impatient by the minute and the unwanted thoughts in his mind didn't help at all. He looked around wondering if everything he devoted his time to these past few months will be wasted. Will the lit candles ever see the light of a smile? Will the flowers wither without a touch of affection? Will the moon ever serve witness of the beauty of love? They will... or they won't.

He sighed.

Five years and it all boils down to tonight.

With hope running out as the clock ticks and time passes, he picked himself up, ready to call it a night. As to what kind of night it would be, he wasn't quite sure. But it would be a devastating one to say the least.

He looked over at the ledge, at the sight of the buzzing city below. It was a beautiful night – lights dancing around, cars in and out of traffic – the buoyant atmosphere felt from where he was, some hundred of meters above. It bothers him how completely oblivious the world is of his looming defeat. But then again, everybody has got their own lives to live. She has her own life to live.

He glanced at his timepiece and read 9:43 on the clock. No way was she ever going to make it. Pocketing the thing on his hands, he moved over to the setup and started to keep the photos hanging by the tail of the draping ropes from the ceiling of the cabana. He was careful to avoid having a look at them as they might trigger a surge of memories.

As he was about to clear out the last photo, his phone came ringing. He picked it up without a glance and said in a gloomy voice, "Hello."

"Hi."

With the sweet, sing song voice that came booming over the phone, he stiffened. He glanced twice at the screen to make sure it was real – that it was really her calling him. He was so fixated with making sure he was not in La-La Land that he forgot to give an answer.

"Kiefer naman eh, wag ka ng magtampo. Malapit na ako, magpapark na ako," she said, an obvious plea in her voice. He could hear the sound of the car from the parking lot so he ended the call without saying anything and proceeded to reattach the photos.

"Alta! Pao! Baser! Raf!" he called over to his friends chilling over at the other side of the ledge. "She's here, pare! She's here! She came! Andito siya!" he explained.

The faces of the two instantly lit up. They threw the cans of beer on their hands and immediately rushed over. They were there to be his sidekicks and when he felt out of hope minutes ago, they left him to his thoughts so he could think everything over.

"Congrats, paps! Galingan mo," they said as they gave him bro hugs.

The two instantly helped put the pictures back. Kiefer, on the other hand, looked for Tin – his other best friend who was there. Turned out she was having her smoke break not too far from the cabana.

"Tin! Kakanta ka!" he declared.

Tin coughed up the smoke and looked at him incredulously. "What the?! Seryoso ka ba?!"

He looked over at the setup. The singer he initially hired already went home. And out of all the four of them who were left, Tin was the only one who could actually carry a tune. "Eh kesa naman yung dalawa pakantahin ko? Baka masira pa plano ko?" He gave her his most effective paawa face which he knew she could not resist.
