We were walking side by side as the moon illuminated a soft glow. It was quiet but it was a comfortable silence.
She suddenly grabbed my hand, surprising me.
"Just hold my hand if you want to." She flashed me a cute grin.
I blushed as I thought of my failed attempts of trying to hold her hand but retracting it quickly due to my lack of courage which led to our hands touching sometimes.
Her hand was enveloped perfectly in my hand, as if we were made for each other.
This suddenly made me feel a sense of protection for her, wanting to protect her at all cost.
Wait.... I think... I like Yume...
"Yume... there's something I want to tell you.."I started in which she hummed in response for me to continue.
It is now, I gathered my courage and said, "Yume.... I -"
Her grip on my hand loosened and before I knew it, she fell to the ground like a rag doll.
"Yume!"I quickly lifted her off the ground and rushed off to the nearest hospital.
