(Killian's POV)

I walk along the deck of my treasured ship as it sails along the calm waters. My men are doing their work just as I asked them to. Everything is going smoothly so far.

I have yet to see Emma this morning, which means she must be getting some well needed sleep. She's tougher than any other lass I've met. She had an adventuras spirit, she always has. And that's captivates me...

"Sir?" My most trusted crew member approaches me, his name is William Smee. He's an elderly short man, but he still does is job well. I nod my head, giving permission for him to speak. "Who's the lady you brought here? Some of the young men are asking. I would keep a close eye on her if I were you, just to be sure she's being treated properly."

"She's... Her name is Emma. But she should be addressed as Miss. Swan, for now." Since our two countries are not allies, I feel it would be unsafe to specify that she is the princess of our enemy country. "If anyone behaves suspiciously, or disrespectfully, please inform me at once."

"Aye," Smee nods, and scurries off to continue what he was doing.

One hour later

As I stand at the wheel, steering my ship, I see a blonde head walking about.

Emma.

I smile, the first time I've smiled this morning, she has that effect on me.
She seems to notice me, for she cautiously walks over. She looks a bit uncomfortable, but I would be too if a dozen men (including myself) were staring at me. She was a sight for sore eyes though; her curly hair cascades through the wind as she makes her way up the steps separating us, and despite the fact that she looks tired, she's still as stunning as usual.

"Morning, love." I smile down at her, and she smiles up at me.

"Good morning."

"How did you sleep?"

"Alright, considering the circumstances." She nods, looking out at the sea. "Do you have any idea of when we'll be there?"

"I'd say around noon time tomorrow, depending on weather."

(Emma's POV)

Tomorrow.

I'll be home tomorrow.

I can finally return to my family and kingdom... I only hope that nothing has gone wrong aside from me being taken. I hope that my parents are safe, and the servants, and guards.

I don't know how my mother and father will react when they see that Killian and I are getting along, since we're not supposed to. But he did save me... that should be a plus.

After Killian answered my question, a crew member pulls him aside for a reason which doesn't concern me, and someone else takes over the wheel. I sit myself down on a barrel, unsure what else to do, and I start thinking. Thinking of memories of him and I...

{flash back}

I sat on a chair at the side of the ballroom, surrounded by several of my friends at a table. The room was crowded with many people in colorful gowns and modest suits. The ball was in honor of my parents anniversary.

I laughed with my friends about the topic of conversation we were having. I wasn't fully paying attention though, my main focus was on Killian whom was with a few other boys talking amongst themselves. I would catch his eye every now and then, which made me smile. At the time, I was fifteen and he was seventeen. We were still the best of friends.
