"Well I'll talk to you later," I said to Rashad as I hung up the phone. He's been real clingy lately and it was beginning to get annoying. I sighed and tried to figure out what I was going to wear for school tomorrow. After minutes of searching, I gave up and decided to watch some tv. After channel surfing, I settled on watching Love & Hip-Hop reruns. When it went on commercial, I called Moriah to see if she could come over. "Hello?" she said.

"I'm bored, you should come over."

"Yeah, I can. I'll be over in a second."

"Okay." I hung up.

Five minutes later, Moriah showed up at my door step with her annoying little brother Brendon. "My mom left, so I had to bring him with me." She mumbled.

"Little girl, I don't want to be here anyways." Brendon spoke, annoyed.

Me and Moriah went to my room and Brendon went to play with my younger brother Mario. "Is your grandma here?" Moriah asked while plopping down on my bed. "No. She'll be back though."

I lived with my grandma and my little brother. My mom was crazy as hell. My dad was over-protective and came to see me every chance he got. My grandma had money and provided me and brother with the best, and only the best. She owned a cleaning business that made lots of money.

"I heard Raquan throwin' a party."

Moriah gossiped.

Raquan was this fine ass boy who always threw huge parties. He was very popular, so I'm sure everyone was going to be at his party.

"When is it?" I asked.

"May 28th," Moriah said.

"That's in a few weeks?"

She nodded.

"You know we gon turn up and kill 'em!"

After minutes of talking about the party, we went outside to sit on my porch and drink Kool-Aid. The Atlanta sun was beaming. "At the rate this sun going, I'ma have a tan by May." Moriah muttered. I got a text from our friend, Marco.

Aye we having a kickback at 7, you tryna come through? It read.

"Moriah, Marco's having a kick back wanna go?" I said as I crossed my fingers, hoping Moriah would say yes. Sometimes all Moriah wanted to do was stay inside.

"Yeah, that's cool." She answered.

Yeah, me and Moriah coming. I texted.

I shot a quick text to my grandma telling her we were going to be at Marco's house. We went back in the house, so I could change my outfit. I changed out of my black jeggings, into white ripped shorts. My outfit consisted of a cropped hoodie, an red Mickey Mouse crop top, white and red KD's, and of course, my white shorts.

Once I was done changing bottoms, I did my make-up. After that we left. We were in my car, jamming out to Chance The Rapper. "I really hope there ain't no drama like last time." Moriah said. "Shit, me too. That shit was so stupid." Last time there was a kick back at Marco's, there was some drama between Marco, his ex and her new boyfriend. Why was she invited? I don't know. But anyways, a fight broke out.

We pulled up to Marco's house which was pretty big. It was a three story house with two kitchens, and four bathrooms. As soon we walked in, it was hype. Everyone was chillin', some people were lounging in the living room, some were in the kitchen, everyone was everywhere.

"Wassup!" Marco greeted us with hugs. He told us where everybody was and went to go get more tobacco for the four hole hookah station. I went in the backyard to Marco's in grounded pool.
