My name is Julian Athens, and I am the top student in the academics club. I listen to musicals, and I watch cartoons. I try to avoid sports teams, and the jocks that love them so much.
And I'm falling for the king of the school.

Romeo Romulus is the king. He's the best soccer player, and he's the most well known person in the school. He is kind, charming, and to be honest, quite attractive. Girls are always going after him, and he either turns them down or just goes on a single date with them.

I just learned all this about him by pretending I was part of the school newspaper and interviewing people. I needed to learn everything I could about him. I'm not a stalker, I swear. Just... Just slightly very interested.

It's been two weeks since the first time he came over, and we've been hanging out after school at different places. He wants me to come over to his place at some point for a party, but... Can I do that? I'm not cool enough for that stuff.

"Hey, Julian!" Warren called to me from across the hall. "Are you coming to the academics get together next week?"

I looked over at him. Stupid perfect teeth. "Yeah, I was gonna go. Why do you ask?"

"No reason. Are you... Are you gonna go to the dance coming up next week?" He asked next, smiling a little softer.

"No, why would I?" I have no reason to go, it's not like Henry was going, so why would I go?

Warren looked surprised. "Nobodies asked you?"

"Radcliff, if you haven't noticed, people aren't exactly lining up to go with the gay kid." I said, rolling my eyes. "Plus, without Henry, I'll probably just stay home and play video games."

"Oh... Well, what if Henry did come?" He asked.

What if he did come? Would I follow suit? "I would probably check it out, but he already made up his mind."

Warren smiled brightly. "Ah, alrighty." What does he have up is sleeve..?

"Athena!" An tough, but majestic voice called.

Warren turned towards the voice and frowned as Romeo walked up to us. He was wearing a white and cyan sports jacket (I guess that's the team colors or something), and a pair of white jeans. His hair was wild and his amber eyes glowed with excitement.

"Hey, Romeo." I said with a smile. "What's got you so worked up? Another girl ask you to the dance or something?"

"Nah, I was just gonna see if you were going to come to my place after the dance actually. I've been telling you about the party that I'm having after, right?" He said.

Crap... All this work I've been doing to find out about him and I completely let it slip my mind that he's been trying to hang out more with me, and after the dance at that.

"I don't know, I'm not really one for the party scene." I said, Warren looking mildly pleased at that. Weirdo.

Romeo looked at me with his stupid puppy dog face, as if that was going to work on me. "Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeease!"

"And now I'm not going at all." I said firmly. "I don't like people begging."

Warren laughed slightly (Oh god, I forgot how much I hate that... Beautiful... Beautiful laugh...). "You're going to need to learn that Julian doesn't like a lot of things."

Romeo frowned at the German boy. "I suppose you two are close then?"

"Of course." Warren said, not missing a beat as he threw an arm over my shoulder. He's never done that before... I never noticed how warm he was...

"He's talked about you before, and I know you're a fan of our team, but I guess didn't realize that you guys were... I don't know." Romeo muttered.

I glared at the jock. "Are you implying something? I am allowed to have friends besides you."

"Of course! I wasn't trying to say that you couldn't!" Romulus said in a panicked defence. "I'm sorry, I really didn't mean anything by it!"

"Great. I'm glad we got that sorted out." I said happily. "And if you really want me at your stupid party, you can drive me there yourself."

Both him and Warren's eyes snapped open as they looked at me.
"What!?" "Really?!" I heard simultaneously, not really caring which one said which.

"Yeah, I don't feel like actually working to go to a party that I'd rather not be at." I said nonchalantly.

"Are you going to the dance?" Romeo asked. "If so, you can just go from there to my place with me."

Being in a car alone with Romeo was something I wasn't unfamiliar with, but never at night. "O-ok. I'll be there if it means an easy ride."

"What!?!"

Ok, that one was Warren for sure.

"But you just said the only way to get you to get was if I got Henry to come!" He said frantically. "I was going to cash in all the favors he owed me for that!"

"I didn't say it was the only way, I just said it would make me more likely to come. A free ride always makes me more likely to go somewhere as well. Why do you care so much anyways?"

"I don't~" Warren started. "I mean~" He hesitated again. "It doesn't matter."

And that is how Warren walked away in the middle of our conversation. Asshole.
