"em?" minhyun called as he opened the door to the guest bedroom.

"yes?"

emily stopped tidying her stuff and went over to the door.

"here. dial him when you're ready," minhyun handed her his phone with daniel's number displayed on the screen.

one press and she'll be talking with her dear brother but why is she hesitating?

"by the way, em. don't hack my phone or anything, okay? i trust you," minhyun added before leaving the girl alone.

after a few minutes, emily decided to dial the number.

"hello?"

emily missed his voice. it has been days, maybe weeks, since she heard it. without realizing it, she was already crying.

"minhyun hyung? is em okay?" daniel asked again when there were no reply from the other line other than soft sobs.

"o-oppa!" emily cried out weakly.

"em? emily! baby, how are you? i heard you're staying with the hwang family now."

"ne, oppa. i'm fine," emily answered shortly, "i miss you."

"i miss you, too. minhyun told me you'll be okay now last night. you're free, em," daniel said, choking on his own tears.

emily nodded as tears keeps streaming down, "i-i know. i'm glad."

"by the way, em, i'll see you tomorrow. go to sleep, it's late."

"huh? w-what do you mean?"

"emily, we'll meet soon, okay? i'm boarding the first plane tomorrow to seoul. wait for me! good night. i love you."
