"how's your day, em?" daniel asked as he noticed his little sister just got home.

however, emily didn't bother to reply him because her mood had been crushed since lunch time. she just walked passed the two older boys who were playing video games in the living room.

"huh? em? are you—"

"let her be, daniel. maybe she needs some times alone. i'll ask hyunjin later about what might happened at school."

not long after, hyunjin got back home after convincing his friends that he couldn't play with them due to some reason; making sure emily was okay.

ever since he knows about her past condition, he became worried about her and had the urge to take care of her—as a brother. that's why, when he saw the argument between the two so-called 'bestfriends', he was sure that emily wouldn't be okay afterwards.

"ya, hyunjin-ah. what happened with em? she ignored my greetings just now," daniel said as soon as the younger boy entered the living room.

"that... she got into an argument with kuanlin. it didn't end well," hyunjin answered.

"argument? about what?" daniel asked again.

hyunjin sighed before telling the two boys what the argument was about and how they ended up walking in opposite ways with their friendship broken.
