Chapter 5 : Companion

Weiss P.O.V.

The room in matter of seconds become brighter as the sunlight penetrated through the curtain. Yawned softly, as I removed myself from the bed, cleaning myself and wearing simple clothes from Ruby's closet.

Walked downstairs, delicious smell greeted in this early morning. Making my way to the kitchen, I found Ruby currently flipped the pancakes and eat some of it.

She acknowledge my presence when I dragged the chair and sit. I observed around this quiet house before flinched when a plate served in front of me.

“Do you always flinched like that? Eat those while I'm taking a shower.” Ruby places the plate full of pancakes in front of me.

Mumbled softly as I replied to her, “Sorry.”

She just hummed, cross her arms on her chest. Why she always this intimidating and such?

My head hung low as my white bangs covered my face. Her action remiscent of father behaviours whenever I didn't please him.

I heard the footsteps away from me, slowly I held my head up, saw her vanished upstairs. I take those time to savour the pancakes.

“Where are you going?” I asked Ruby, when I saw that she dressed up with red hoodie and skinny jeans, placing a set of keys on the table and take a sit in front of me.

She shoved some of the remaining pancakes ('cause I'm not that willing to finish whole thing). I grabbed my plate and did the dishes.

“We will going out to buy some clothes and stuffs for you and groceries too.” Ruby's stern voices startled me, fortunately I had placed back the plate before she leaned at the sink beside me all of sudden.

“Uh..sure” My eyes are everyhwere except on her. She still leaning beside me, raising her eyebrow. Then she grabbed my hand and pulled me out from the house. She brought me to a garage. She handed to me some sort of hat? What even is this?

She must noticed my facial expression, she grabbed back the thing and bring her hand up my head. Confused and blushed...BLUSHED? WHAT THE HELL? Where did I even learned to blush??? I can feel my face heat up when her hand swiftly pulled my hairband down, letting my snowy hair bounce down.

Silently I thank her when she pushed the things on my head. “That's helmet. You never wear one before?” She asked, wearing the red helmet on her. I shook my head, while my face slowly recovered. Plus it's better with this things cause it hid my face pretty well. Let just say it's a full face helmet. That's what Ruby said.

Ruby revved the engine and I'm here, hesistating whether to ride on it or not. But changed my mind when I saw Ruby glares at me. Quickly I sat behind her, nervously wrapped my arms on her torso and make our way to town.

Fudge. My hair are literally everywhere when I take off the helmet. Quickly I ran my hand through my hair and tied up into right-side ponytail. I handed the helmet to Ruby, while she's locking the motorcycle. We had been wandering around the mall searching for my clothes before groceries.

“Uhh.. I-I dont know if I can repay you.” I looked over the plastic bag containing my clothes she bought for me. She's ignoring me, roamed over the women's undergarment section. Oh crap!

“So what size are you?” she blurted out, not caring that I'm deadpanned shaming here. My face surely red as tomato sauce cause that more deeper red than the actual tomato. I don't know how long I've been dozing off but regained when a hand waving on line of my sight.
