The Game Changer (A Magcon fanfic)

Chapter 3

Katy P.O.V.

"JC is this a prank,the box I mean?" I asked nervously.

"I'd never do that." He laughed.

"Then you open it." I said.

"Well silly I already got mine and the other 5/6 of O2L have theres upstairs. They come home today you know!" JC cheered.

"Awe come on. Ricky eats all my pancakes this isn't fair!" I complained.

"Oh just shut up and open it!" He instructed and I pulled out a red and black hoodie with a letter.

"Well aren't you gonna read yours out loud. I wanna know how you got in." JC said.

"Dear Katy Williams,

We have seen that you are on the more popular side of vine and would like you to join our organization called Magcon. What you do is meet and greet fans. It's also a good way to make money if your in a tight spot. Rsvp me soon. Hope to see you soon,your friend,Bart." I read aloud.

"What?" JC asked and pointed at the scowl on my face.

"He just assumes he's my friend just barges in! I'm gonna do it JC but I'm gonna do it for the fans." I said.

"Oh stop he probably says that about everyone!" JC laughed."plus how did you even get in?"

"I may have gotten vine without asking." I mumbled.

"What?! I could of hooked you up with youtube and everything." JC said.

"Then why not?" I asked because really youtube does seem fun.

"You're a...viner. I must disown you from living in my house!" He said dramatically.

"Oh stop it." I laughed and hit him.

"OUCH! Anyways I've never been to Magcon. Mine says it's the first one there is." JC stated.

"Yeah where is it anyway?" I asked.

"Houston Texas. Sure you wanna go?" He asked.

I thought about it,I mean I'd be leaving Hayes for a couple days,which would turn into weeks at one point. I do love him he's the only family I know besides O2L and JC is the only one who knows about my past.

"We are home bitches!" Someone yelled and I looked over to see Ricky.

"Ricky!" I yelled and hugged him.

"Sup little one." Kian said and ruffled my hair as he walked past.

"So whats up?" Ricky asked JC as he walked away from me.

"Hey got you a souvenir." connor said and handed me a snow globe.

"Awe thanks." I said and gave him a hug. Sam and Trevor hugged me too and then we went to the living room.

"I should probably do my schoolwork now?" I stated/asked.

"Wait I found a cover of your favorite song and I want you to hear it." Trevor said and took out his phone. At first I only heard strumming of guitar strings,but then I could instantly tell it was Sweater Weather.

"Cause it's too cold for you here." The person sang,I didn't need time,instantly I knew who it was and blacked out.

~flashback~

It's a nice day outside on the fields. This is after they became jocks and I look across the field and see an oddly familiar person with a guitar so slowly I walk up.

"I just wanna rap you up wanna kiss your lips." He sang. I still couldn't see his face,sadly this is after Lexi left so I'm alone if it turns out bad. I walk closer and a branch snaps loudly.

"WHOS THERE?" The guy yells.

"M-me." I own up and step out from behind the tree.

"Ooo it's the nerd." He laughed,and I instantly recognized him as Shawn Mendes.

"Shawn please don't do this." I whispered and he hoisted me up by my collar.

"If you tell anyone what you saw you're dead." He whispered threateningly.

I nodded alittle.

"Are we clear?" he yelled.

"Y-yes sir." I stuttered and he dropped me to the ground then ran off.

"Oh look Shawn left me a present." Someone laughed. I turned around and saw Carter.

"Please don't hurt me." I cried and not because I was scared,but Shawn dropped me on my face.

"Oh believe me I will." Carter grinned evilly then punched me.

That was the last time I saw Shawn sing.

~End Of Flashback~

"Holy crap are you okay?" Ricky asked as my eyes opened. I looked around,I was on the couch with an icepack on my head.

"Yeah I think. What happened?" I asked.

"You blacked out after Trevor over here played some song by Shawn Mendes." Sam laughed and I cringed.

"Guys why don't you leave her alone for now?" JC suggested,but his definition of alone was with him so that probably meant he wants to talk about the flashback.

"I'm gonna vlog." Connor said and ran out.

"Wait you have packages on your bed." JC told Sam as he left.

"You blacked out did you-"

"Yeah I did. It was a day when I caught Shawn playing his guitar." I said quietly.

"Are you sure your ok to go to Magcon?" JC asked worriedly and I sat up.

"JC i'm fine. I won't have any flashbacks and I will be fine." I said and I was alittle offended.

"Well we leave in a couple days. You don't have to do school today just rest." He said back.

"But the couch is lumpy." I whined.

"Oh you little pain." JC laughed and picked me up. He then carried me upstairs to my room.

"Now go to bed." He said and flicked off the lights. He had me thinking though. What if I do have a flashback and the other people think I'm weird? I mean my only friend in the past was Lexi but obviously that didn't work out. And if I have to admit it O2l is only my friend because Hayes took me here that day I broke my arm,I still hate to think about how it happened,he knocked on the door and JC answered. Hayes explained everything and JC said he'd take me in. JC is like the older brother I've never had. Considering Nash is a jerk and Will barely came over.

JC P.O.V.

"Trevor!" I yelled and smacked his arm.

"Hey how was I supposed to know that would happen?" He said defensively. Yeah dim wit over here doesn't know her past so I can't really tell him.

"It reminded her of somewhat at her old school. Where she was bullied." I made up.

"And over here is JC Caylen getting mad at Trevor Moran. Don't mind me continue arguing." Connor said. He was vlogging for o2l the theme this week was daily lives.

"Please Connor just go ask Kian about his omelet he made or something." I said and he ran off.

"I'm sorry. But I wanna collab with that guy can I invite him over?" Trevor asked.

"Absolutely not!" I yelled.

"Woah woah woah. What's the big deal?" He asked.

"Katy passed out when she heard him sing one line. She'll probably have a heart attack if she sees him!" I said.

"Whatever. Maybe I'll go to his house or something. Anyway are we actually going to this Magcon thing?" Trevor asked.

"Yep we are." I confirmed.

I wonder who else is going to Magcon though? It can't just be us can it?
