"Right guys, I hope you are all prepared because today is the day you will perform!" Mr Schuester said as he stood on the stage in front of his students. "Who wants to go first?"
The auditorium was silent.
"Alright then." Why don't we just go in order of the announcement of the pairs." Mr Schuester said. "Which means..." He looked down at his clipboard. "... Sam and Quinn will go first."
The auditorium fell silent as the two teenagers made their way up onto the stage. The music began.
"Ooh
I can show you the world
Shining, shimmering, splendid
Tell me, princess, now when did
You last let your heart decide?"
I can open your eyes

On a magic carpet ride." Sam sang.
"A whole new world
A new fantastic point of view

A dazzling place I never knew
But now from way up here
It's crystal clear
That now I'm in a whole new world with you." Quinn sang. She smiled at Sam.
"Unbelievable sights
Indescribable feeling
Soaring, tumbling, freewheeling
Through an endless diamond sky.
A whole new world." They sang together.
"Don't you dare close your eyes." Sam sang as Quinn covered her eyes. Sam gently pulled her hand away.
Jealousy filled Rachel as she watched the performance. Even though she knew Quinn loved her, she couldn't help but think that Sam had some sort of feelings for the blonde girl.
"A hundred thousand things to see." They sang together.
"Hold your breath - it gets better." Sam sang.
"I'm like a shooting star
I've come so far
I can't go back to where I used to be
A whole new world." They sang together.
"With new horizons to pursue
I'll chase them anywhere
There's time to spare
Let me share this whole new world with you." Sam sang.
"A whole new world." Quinn sang.

"Every turn a surprise." Sam sang.
"With new horizons to pursue." Quinn sang.

Let me share this whole new world with you." They sang together.
Sam and Quinn turned to face each other, taking a few steps forward until they were so close that they could smell each other's breath. They stared into each other's eyes and this made Rachel even more jealous but she hid it well.
"A whole new world." They sang together.
"A whole new world." Sam sang.
"That's where we'll be." Quinn sang.
"Where we will be
A thrilling chase." Sam sang.
"A wondrous place." Quinn sang.
"For you and me." They sang together, letting their voices ring out into the auditorium as the music faded.
The auditorium erupted into applause. "Alright, that's how it's done!" Mr Schuester announced. "Well done! Take a seat guys."
The two blonde teenagers blushed and bowed before returning to their seats.
