"are you going to hang out with that guy again?" your mom questioned you the moment you woke up.

you groaned, looking at the clock, "ugh, i don't know, he's in my class."

she nodded and ordered you to get out of bed. you counted to 20 before getting out of bed just to get that extra 20 seconds of comfort. 

once you got to class, you looked over to jinyoung's seat but he wasn't there so you figured that he wasn't coming to school again today because he was sick.

"guess i have an excuse to go to his house then," you smiled.

just then, both woojin and haknyeon looked over to you without you realizing.

"what do you think she's thinking about? she's grinning ear to ear," woojin asked haknyeon.

"beats me," 

and for the second time, you continued to stare at the clock, getting ready to rush out of the classroom as the bell was about to ring. the moment the bell rang, the whole class thanked the teacher and with that, you ran out of the classroom. 

just like yesterday, you had to hesitate for a while before mustering the courage to knock on his door. after a few seconds, jinyoung showed up.

"what are you doing here?" he looked at you with wide eyes. 

you, confused on why he was so shocked, said, "because you didn't come to school today so i figured you were still sick and i-"

you stopped mid-sentence when you saw someone sitting at the dining table of jinyoung's house.

"who-" 

"i can't really talk right now," jinyoung said, sounding like he's in a rush.

"wait," the man at the table said before turning his head to look at you.

this is just a filler chapter at like 12:32am and i'm saving the next part for the next chapter

usually i publish my chapters at like late at night on saturdays but bc this one is extremely short, i'll try to get the next part up by the middle of the week, let's say wednesday? :)

also,, just yesterday i found out that this book had 1k+ reads!! obviously i'm really grateful that 'wait for me' and 'mend' is doing fairly well so thank you!! 

i'm so sorry for the long wait and the short chapters but i'll try to make the next one slightly longer heh
