Altair summoned his staff. He glanced up one more time to see where the figure was. Altair suddenly leaped into the air. He stayed afloat for a few seconds, then suddenly plummeting down. Altair brought down his staff at the last second, cracking the ground. A few seconds passed and nothing. Altair got up and grabbed Lilith. He jumped back a few feet and stared. The figure was curious. Why did he jump back?
As soon as the figure thought that, the ground broke open. THe ground started creating hundreds of crevices and holes to form. All while this was happening, a tremendous earthquake took place. The figure was brought down to his knees due to all the shaking. While the figure was down, the shaking had caused jagged rocks to speed towards the immobile figure. It was a horrifying scene.
The first jagged rock pierced the figure's lower half. It cut right through his side. His intestines began to spill out. His left kidney could be seen dangling from his side. A piercing screech filled the air. It only lasted a few seconds as the figure was smashed by the remaining jagged rocks. One took out an entire leg, the bone crushed and sticking out of the skin. The next one, pushing the rib cage bones out of the way, ripping the torso into pieces. His ribs were sticking out of his back. The figures lungs were exposed, pieces of rock flew into the lungs, shredding everything in site. Lastly, two jagged rocks smashed his skull together. Grinding the bones to dust and squirting brain matter all over the area. All that remained was an unrecognizable body of blood and organs hanging out.
"I don't feel so good," grimaced Lilith, gagging and about to throw up. "I think I would prefer you kissing me than watching that again," Lilith sniffled, almost crying. She threw up into the bushes beside the trail.
"Nothing new for me. I know for sure Mia saw worse. Want me to describe it?" Altair teased, but all Lilith did was gag and said he had a cruel sense of humor and started to rant again.
"Hey Hey Hey! Stop it there! You are not going to rap about bullcrap. Last time you did, we got attacked. And I don't wanna get attacked again before the day ends. You get me young lady?" Altair ordered.
"No," Lilith said walking away starting to rant again.
Two days later
It's November 6th, Lilith's birthday. Lilith had been excited for a week for her birthday knowing that Altair will do whatever she wants for it. They were close to the castle, but even closer to the cities on the outside of the castle. Altair had promised her that they would go into the city together to celebrate her birthday and make their way to the castle at the same time. They had woken up at the same time and packed up the belongings.
"Morning Princess. Sleep well?" Altair asked. She didn't reply. "Lilith?" No reply. She just started walking toward the trail. "Fine."
After that awkward encounter, they arrived at the town and started look around. Lilith saw a monorail transporting people from one place to another. It wasn't as busy as they thought. Actually, not enough people to be called normal.
"I have always wanted to ride a monorail," Lilith said. It was very obvious that she never went into the city unless it was for errands.
"Then, we will ride the monorail just for you," Altair said patting the top of Lilith's head.
"That's all I wanna do. We can use it to get closer to the castle." said Lilith.
"Okay, if that's what you want," Altair said.
They had gotten into the five person line and requested a special VIP ride going over the castle. They plan to knock the guard out in the monorail car and jump onto a roof closest to the castle. Altair and Lilith got onto the car. They saw three guards in the car with them. Altair was ready to take them out.
They were about to go over the top of the castle when one of the guards said, "Are you guys the people the King wants?"
"What people? For what?" questioned Lilith for Altair.
"Nevermind, just forgot I said anything," suspiciously replied the guard.
Lilith let it go, remembering what happened last time she wanted the truth, and Altair didn't care about the guards statement. After about thirty minutes, they were on the castle's property.
Altair looked at Lilith and told her close her eyes, it was going to be bloody. He summoned a dagger made of ice, a new skill he learned. Altair lunged from his seat and sliced the throat of the first guard, letting him bleed out. While the other two guards were shocked, Altair threw the dagger at the closest one, impaling him right in the eye. The impaled guard screamed in pain. Altair ran up and dropped kicked him out the window, satisfied after hearing a splat a few seconds later. He spun around to look the last guard. The last guard was shaking, scared out of his mind. Altair rushed and and stuck his fingers into the man's throat. The look of horror only fueled Altair's bloodthirstiness. Altair pushed his fingers deeper and felt the esophagus. He smiled and quickly pulled out the man's esophagus. Altair watched as the man turn blue from lack of oxygen and bleed out to death.
"You didn't have to make that blood," squeaked Lilith. Altair paid not attention to her.
"That house over there looks good," Altair said pointing to the only building that was high enough, if they jumped right they wouldn't break their legs. They had gotten above the location and Altair had shouted, "JUMP!" And with no hesitation they both jumped out the doors landing on the solid concrete. Landing was easy for Altair but a little harder for Lilith, who got a lot of scratches. They got up and regained their balance. Behind them was two figures dressed in midnight black cloaks, you could only see their eyes.
One of them quickly ran up managed to grab from Lilith from behind. The figure put a cloth over her mouth and Lilith slowly fell unconscious. Chloroform, Altair figured. Then one of the figures stabbed Altair with a knife. The figure pushed him to the ground and put the piece of cloth over his mouth. His vision started to go black with the weird smell of Chloroform. His body started going numb. Poison dagger with chloroform, classic. He had almost fell asleep when he heard a similar voice speak to a radio.
"Target is caught. We need exfil to the cells of the castle." This voice was all too familiar to Altair, like someone who had fought with him before. It was Mia, that backstabbing little bastard.
