Altair woke up early in the morning to the beautiful sunrise peaking through the open crack in the tent. He turned over to see if Lilith was still there. Fortunately for Altair's heart, Lilith was still laying there breathing. Altair figured that it might be time to get up. He tried to wake Lilith up.
"Lilith, it's time to wake up. Come on, princess, don't you want some waffles?" Altair cheerfully said. She had been asleep since yesterday, when she was revived. Altair knew she was alive as she was warm all night and her breathing softly while they slept.
Lilith awoke briefly after Altair spoke. She looked around dazed, as if not remembering anything. Altair began to grow nervous, he wondered if Lilith lost her memory. He spaced out, thinking of all the ways Lilith could've have lost her memory. It might have been the spell or the blow she took before she was killed.
"What happened?" Lilith asked in a daze. She tried to stand up, but while but collapsed while trying. Luckily, Altair was fast enough to catch her before she hit the ground.
"You're okay," said Altair with a smile on his face.
"Of course idiot," Lilith said. "Where are we?" she questioned as she looked at her surroundings. "There are no flowers. Why is there two tents up? Where is all the color?"
"You passed out during our hike to the castle." Altair lied. He didn't want her to know that she had died. Altair didn't want her to know that he killed hundreds of people. He didn't want her to know he kissed her.
' "I guess you didn't drink enough water or something and you just fell over." Altair says again, still lying.
"Makes sense. That would be something I would forget," Lilith said. Then she saw a scroll in the tent she woke up in. "What's that?" Lilith asked.
"Nothing," Altair said scrambling to grab it and put it in his pocket, to later be burned.
"For some weird reason, I don't believe you." Lilith said curiously. "Show me what it is," She ordered.
"Show you what?" questioned Altair, innocently. Throwing the scroll into the conveniently placed fire pit. But before he could light it, Lilith knocks the lighter out of his hands before he could light it.
"Come on. It can't be that important." replied Lilith. She reached in grabbing the scroll trying to unfold it and find out what it said. But with inhuman speed, Altair was able to grab his staff and the paper. He threw the scroll into the air and perfectly aiming a fireball at it. They both sat there watching it burn.
"Wow, what a baby," Lilith said looking at Altair a little mad but was managing to laugh.
"You're eight!" Altair said defensively.
"Yeah, and I'm not as much of baby as a fifteen year old." She pointed out.
"Shut up. Let's get moving. You can make your own breakfast." Altair saying as he went back to the tent and started packing.
"Hey, where did Karyin go?" Lilith said sounding empty and blue.
"About that... He, he died. He died protecting us in our sleep." Altair said still lying.
"Okay, what really happened?!" Lilith exclaimed seeming frustrated.
"What do you mean?" Altair said acting stupid.
"What really happened to the dog and me? You not a good liar," Lilith demanded, stepping into the tent blocking off the exit for Altair. Now he couldn't leave, he can't lie his way out of this.
"You died, with the dog. I would have thought you would have remembered because the dog died before you," confessed Altair.
"The dog has a name, you inconsiderate bastard!" Lilith yelled finally snapping.
"Wait, I died?" Lilith said.
"Yes." Altair answered. Altair explained about how she died, Mia, the revive spell he memorized, and how many people he killed for her.
"This doesn't make sense. You wouldn't ever kiss me," Lilith said. After taking a second to realize what she said, she immediately started to gag. "You kissed me! Eeeeewwww!" She said running into other tent.
Altair allowed her to regain her bearings and calm down. He had finished packing up and had started to take his tent down, when he realized he could just burn it. Altair went over to Lilith and told her to get her stuff. He also added that she should wait for him at the trail. She didn't reply back to Altair. Lilith just started walking towards the direction Altair pointed to. After all of the stuff was packed up and they were ready to leave, Altair shot two fireballs at the tents to burn them. He shot two more at the fire pit missing one and landing the other.
"YOU FREAKING SUCK," yelled out Lilith when Altair reached the trail. He told her to go wait at the trail for him to be done.
"I can't believe you kissed me! You could have just had held my hand or something!" Lilith's face was red with anger or embarrassment. Altair couldn't tell that Lilith was embarrassed. "I mean, I could have let it go and been fine but no, I had to be Curious George or something and find out the truth!" Lilith ranted on.
Altair's mind had wandered off while Lilith was complaining. He had stopped listening to Lilith and her ranting about something.
"Right?" Lilith asked Altair.
"Wh- I mean, yes of course," Altair said sounding like any other man when someone was talking.
"You think so? What was I talking about?" Lilith questioned.
"Ummm. Stuff." Altair said being truthful.
"Uh. Bo-" Lilith was interrupted when the ground started to shake. Lilith was knocked onto the ground from the intense vibrations. Altair could barely keep balance when he noticed a figure standing ahead of them touching the ground. Altair realized that the figure ahead of them was someone with the earth element. After realizing that there was a person with Earth powers, Altair got into a firm position. He was no longer being affected by the evermore intense vibration.
"Two can play this game." Altair said.
