Y/N and Papyrus had started fixing up the picnic while I, not willing to work, decided to catch some z's. Like usual I didn't have any dreams, mostly because I had seen all of them though the resets. But, even then, memories of a genocide are repeated.

So, I guess I was even more on edge when I woke up. The first think I notice was my brother's scarf lying on the ground in a pile of dust, more memories flashed through my mind. I looked around and saw similar piles of dust or scrap metal.

Something moved at the side of my vision and I look over to see Y/N grab a knife out of the scrap metal which I noticed to be the pink suit of Mettaton. My left eye sparked blue and as she looked at me with blood red eyes. They marched closer to me, not bothering to brush the hair out of their face.

I teleported to my feet and looked around as they got closer. "Geez, kid, this isn't very knife of you, maybe we need to dull your tone a bit," I nervously joked. Nothing, not even smirk.

The slashed the knife towards me and in panic I just teleported, not picking a designated spot. I looked at the closest street sign and saw I was several blocks away. Well, crap. Then something clicked. Frisk and Asriel, they're still there. I instantly went to teleport back but I assumed that I had used to much just teleporting here.

Just to my luck, I happened to teleport to a bus stop which happened to have a bus with people loading on. I ran over while struggling to grab my wallet out for my bus pass. (Yes, I have one, sometimes I don't want people to know about my short cuts.) People rushed on the bus with my self following close behind. I walked up to the driver and handed him a ten.

"Make Monster recreational park your next stop and this is yours," he raise an eyebrow and I sighed and handed him another. He then smiled, closed the door and started driving. I sat down in a front seat and waited 2-4 minutes before we arrived. Once we got there, I immediately jumped out and then the bus continued on.

I looked around hoping to see the two children. All I saw, was Y/N standing over a pile of dust and Frisk's mangled body. My eye sparked blue once more and several bones appeared at my side's. Acting on full instinct I shot them straight toward Y/N, one piercing the heart. They turned around on the impact but I didn't see the red from before, instead I saw their e/c tear filled eyes.

The blue stopped and the white pinpricks disappeared from my eyes as I realized what I had done. Everything moved in slow motion as I ran towards them catching just before the fell to the ground.

"No, no, no," I noticed a few glowing blue tears fall as I brushed the hair out of her eyes. "Hey, kid, you're gonna be fine. This is just a dream, right? Please tell me this isn't real."

She smiled up at me before I noticed that her eyes had changed back to red. "Sorry, comedian, I must not tell lies." A black liquid leaked out of the locket and onto the blood soaked ground. Her body became cold and crumpled to nothing. Almost as if it just evaporated into thin air.

I watched as everything started to blow away like dust, just like it had so many times before. The world faded to black as it prepared for another reset. At first I was in shock, and I could do nothing but stare. Soon, it quickly turned to anger and I slammed my fists against the ground.

"NO! They promised they were over!" I fell onto my back before I heard the garbled sound of data collapsing and renewing. Within a few minutes I knew I would just be back in my room in Snowdin. I waited for a few seconds, my magic had long since drained but it would be back when it reset.

The sound of a distant pop filled my ears and a sat up for the AU visitor. They walked up to me very confused. I knew the his magic's aura like the back of my hand. "You're too late, Ink. She's gone, they all are," my voice was void of any emotion.

Ink's breath quickened and he sat down next to me. He wrapped an arm arou d my shoulders but didn't put any pressure to hope I wouldn't lash out.

"When will it be over? Everytime I think it is, it just comes to knock me on my back again." I dropped my gaze looking at my hands.

He looked away, "I don't know, Sans, I just don't know. "

I lost sight of him and the void as I reappeared back in my bedroom. My jacket was no longer stained and it hang on the doorknob across the room. I sat up in my cool bones t-shirt and counted down to the point where Papyrus burst into the room.

"SANS, I CAN FEEL IT, TODAY IS THE DAY I WILL CATCH A HUMAN!" right on time.

"yeah, sure thing bro. why don't you run ahead, i'll meet up with you at my station." I smiled my usual smile as he screamed with delite and ran down the stairs.

The room still looked the same, my trash tornado in the corner, my sock collection near by, and a treadmill in the middle. I stood up from the bed and grabbed my jacket and slipped the slippers on and teleported into the kitchen. Right, still burnt or under cooked spaghetti. I sighed and grabbed a bottle of ketchup and shoved it into my pocket and teleported onto the chair of my station. Papyrus came into my sight from behind the line of trees.

"Hey, Pap," I winked and waved to him.

When he noticed I had actually come he ran up to me. "SANS, COME ON, I THINK I SAW SOMETHING FARTHER DOWN THE PATH WE NEED TO GET THE PUZZLES READY."

"Sure thing, Pap," I sighed, "just gimme a sec." He nodded and left back the way he had come.  I teleported outside the Ruins' door and waited for it to open like I had so many times before.

I better be expecting an apology, Frisk.  I waited just out of view to anyone that would exit the door. The door slowly creeked open as they stepped out into the icy snow.
