When I had asked a few hours ago, Asgore seemed hesitant at first. He looked a but surprised especially since I just stopped going to work after the accident. But he finally agreed to let me work for now only as Alphys' assistant, which I grumbled about.

I was to start working the following day. But now I had to study and see how much I actually remembered from past employment. Being the procrastinator I am, haven't studied..... soo, maybe I'll be up at 3 am tomorrow if Papyrus let's me sleep. But I'm also not much of a sleeper. I know that doesn't right because I take naps all the time. Stupid freakin' nightmares.

Now I was on my way to Toriel's door. I guess I used to call her old lady behind the door....... Anyway, we both like to exchange jokes, bad jokes. That way I can have more to say to Papyrus. The door came into sight and I reached up to knock on the door with a joke in mind, but before I could, she did it first.

"Knock knock."

I chuckled, "who's there?"

"Little old lady"

I knew this one.... "Little old lady who?"

There was a pause before a loud buzzing played in my ear. A figure stepped out, or more like phased through, the door. Chara. "Little old lady is dead."

"You should be dead Chara." I growled. "Your soul doesn't reset like the live monsters do and I have killed you plenty of times."

"Oh, comedian, things aren't always that simple. Not even you science can help that."

"You'll be dead before you reach Snowdin."

"But Sans, who said I started into the Ruins?" They put on a devilish smirk.

The white pinpricks disappeared from my eyes. "No..."

I heard snow pushed aside behind me. "Chara doesn't tell lies, smiley trash bag."

"Guess who's next, Comedian." They rubbed a finger along the sharp end of the knife.

My eye flashed blue and I teleported to the house. All was quiet. I wasn't sure if it was me next or not but I knew I needed to get out of there or I would most defiantly be next. I ran up to the humans' bedroom to see them both still sleeping. They both woke up from me bursting into the room. We didn't have time for questions so I just pulled them both out of bed and ran out of the house.

My magic was drained from all the teleporting and telekinesis from earlier today. I just pulled them until I reached the cave behind the waterfall. They both looked at me soaking wet (I probably was too but it mostly just runs off)

"SANS, WHAT THE HECK WAS THAT FOR?!" Y/N shouted.

I stayed quiet for a few seconds before looking at Frisk, "They're back, Chara's back." Frisk's eyes widened. "I'm sorry, Y/N, I thought they were gone."

Y/N looked thoroughly confused and Frisk went to try and explain but their hands were shaking as they signed. I think I saw something about the last reset and what happened then. I looked over at the waterfall, each reset replaying in my mind

"I have to go see what I can do," I stated.

They both immediately protested, "You can't do that! We've all seen what they can do."

"My bro's already gone, I have nothing else to lose." I saw Y/N flinch at the statement, but... I didn't care. "Stay in the cave until I come back, you can dodge but you can't fight."

This time neither of them stepped in from of me as I left the cave. I walked back toward Snowdin. C'mon, there has to be some survivors. The air was thick with dust. As I walked through Snowdin, I noticed thick thorned vines running through several houses, including my own, along with Grillby's, the Inn, and the librarby. Every monster had screamed before death, each still heard.

I closed my eyes in the middle of town, tears threatening to spill. I couldn't take it, any of it. This was all just to much of a drop from where I once was. My knees fell to the ground and I through a fist into the snow.

"Wow, comedian, it's been a while since I have seen you this low."

My eye lit quickly melting the snow around me. Several bones appeared at my side, ready to pierce anyone who dared come close.

"Relax, trash bag, your time in the after life hasn't come quite yet. At least, not until I finished my job in Waterfall. Usual place, K?" Chara taunted.

I sent the bones hurtling outward but they were already gone by then. My mind suddenly clicked with realisation. They're going after Frisk and Y/N. I snapped my fingers and teleported to the cave to discover Frisk lying on the floor, blood spilling out of a large cut across the chest. My feet stepped out of the cave and I searched for Y/N.

During the limited time search, I stumbled upon Papyrus' Dust and scarf. I carefully raised the scarf out and put in on myself. A faint smile slowly crossed my face as I heard a small 'Nyeh heh heh' from my imagination.

The search continued but I soon found my self back at the castle, the king nowhere to be seen. I teleported into the Judgement Hall, my hand softly grabbing the scarf.

"Here we are again, Sans." Their voice seemed to echo off the walls. "There are no rules this time. So let's go, murderer. You told me yourself you had nothing to lose."

Silence then filled the room and I still didn't turn to face them. Memories still flooded my head, blinding my senses. "You're wrong. I do still have something to live for. And I will fight for her."
