"The guys want to hang out and get to know you, is that all right?" I ask him when I get to the bedroom.
"They don't like me." He says. He goes into the bathroom and closes the door.
"They never seen me so attached to someone. They know we're dating because of the love marks. I wouldn't trade you for the world." I say entering the bathroom.
He's sitting on the edge of the tub running a bath. "I don't fit in with them." He still won't look at me.
I sit next to him. "They aren't as mean as people think. They're just misunderstand. You're my boyfriend now and I want you to meet them." I wrap my arms around him.
"Fine. We can go out with them, as long as you don't forget about me." He looks at me.
"Never."
We take the bath together. I never felt pressured to do anything around him. When I usually go on dates there's always a pressure to do something and they're always about sex, but with De'Quan he always wants to talk and listen. He never forces anything on me. I feel like I can be who I want to be around him.
We step out and go to our closet. I put on a white tank top with a knitted sweater on top. I slip into a pair of skinny jeans and grab some fuzzy socks. It was chilly today so I wanted to be warm. I grab knee-high brown boots from a box. After I put my outfit together, I go to my mirror. I take out all my piercings and exchange them for emerald color. I put in my bar and a couple gold earrings. I do my black winged eyeliner and put my hair into a messy bun.
I turn around and De'Quan is already dressed. He's wearing a white polo shirt with a grey sweater over it. He has on some loose jeans and Timberland work boots. "You look so handsome." I say with a smirk.
"You look extremely sexy." He says and goes in for a kiss.
The door swings open and Scar walks in. "Time to go." He says standing in front of us.
I kiss De'Quan and lead him past Scar. He isn't going to get in between me and De'Quan.
I go out and meet the guys in front of their cars. "Where are we going?" I ask.
"Just follow me." Austin says before jumping into his car.
I hurriedly get into my car with De'Quan. We speed off to catch up with Austin who is always speeding. We end up in Helen. They host an Oktoberfest from September to October. Sundays are free.
We go inside and look around. They have an assortment of food and drinks. They have a live German band playing on the stage. They have different activities going on and prizes. I pull De'Quan over to a booth. If I get a basketball into the hoop, I win a huge prize, catch is that the basketball hoops are very far away.
I walk up and give five dollars to the man. He hands me three balls. I scoot back and look at the hoop. Everyone is staring at me, but I ignore them. I breathe out and shoot the ball. It goes straight in and everyone cheers.
"What prize would you like young lady?" He asks me.
"What would you like De'Quan? I won it for you." I say smiling.
He blushes which is so cute. He picks out a large purple dog. I let him give the other two balls to someone else. Me and De'Quan find the guys and start walking around with them. They stop at a booth which is a test of strength. They each go around once seeing who is the strongest. Scar wins and makes the guys pay up. We laugh and keep walking around. We stop at the dancing area and walk in. De'Quan tries to dance, but his dogs stop him. He goes to the edge and watches me dance.
I laugh and wink at him as the dance finishes up. I walk over and give him a kiss. I hear a grunt and Scar is standing behind us. I kiss De'Quan again and starting walking with Austin.
"Someone's jealous." Austin says laughing.
"I know, I can't believe he's acting like this." I say.
"I told you he likes you. Everyone can see it." De'Quan pipes up.
Austin nods. "He's liked you ever since he saw you." Austin says.
"I get it guys let's have a good day." I say and start looking for my favorite foods.
I find a food stand that has everything I want. I go to the window. "What can I get for you?" A sweet lady asks.
"I'd like a Bloomin' Onion with the spicy sauce along with two onions and peppers polish sausage. Whatever he wants as well." I say stepping aside.
"I would like a cheeseburger with spicy, fully loaded fries. With a Mountain Dew please." He says and backs up. I grab my wallet and pay her. I stand to the side and let the guys order.
We grab a seat at a picnic table. The guys come and sit next to us.
"So De'Quan where do you live?" Connor asks.
"I just moved in with Kacey." He says timidly.
"What?" Scar says abruptly.
"He was in a bad situation. I asked him to move in Friday. We started dating that night. Is something wrong?" I ask him with a stern look.
"Yes, something is wrong. I loved you since I met you and you never once looked at me as more than a brother. I know everything you been through and he doesn't know half the shit and yet, you choose him over me. I love you." He's practically screaming at this point which scares De'Quan.
I stand up and walk towards him. "I thought you respected the fact that I don't feel that way about you. I had an instant connection to De'Quan. You were family to me, someone I could rely on to always be there. Now all you care about is who I'm with. I want both you and De'Quan in my life, but if you can't respect us that's not my problem." I say in his face.
"You just can't see how much I love you. You've been blind to it." He tries to come closer to me.
I scoot back. "I've never been blind to it, I ignored it because I don't feel the same. You are the family I never had and now you're being selfish. Why can't you except that I love you like family." I'm almost in tears, but I will not let him affect me.
"I love you more than family. I can't be around you knowing you're dating him. You've probably already slept with him just like everyone else." He spits out. "I didn't mean that I'm so sorry." He grabs my arm, but I pull my hand away.
"You know everything I've been through and you say that. Family would never say that. If you loved me even a little bit you wouldn't have mentioned it. Get away from me." I run to the stand and grab my food. I binge eat when I'm sad. It just feels something.
I go to the opposite side of the fairgrounds and sit in a secluded bench. I eat my sausages first and then start on my onion. De'Quan finds me and sits next to me. He pulls me into his lap and holds my onion for me as I eat it.
"I would like to know what he meant when you're ready to talk about it, but I won't push you to." He says kissing my forehead.
I relax and slow down my eating. "Can we go home?" I ask.
"Of course. Would you like another Bloomin' Onion to bring home?" He asks sweetly.
I just nod. He walks up to the stand and orders two. I pay and wait for them to finish. We grab our food and head to the parking lot. I give him the keys and walk to the passenger door. He doesn't say anything and gets in.
We go inside and put our food in the fridge.
We walk into the bedroom. I strip off my clothes and lay in bed. I sigh.
"I never seen these scars before" He says pointing to my stomach.
"I have scars covering my body that I cover." I say.
"May I see them?" He asks sitting on the bed.
I close my eyes.
