--When people write OC stories during the Marauders Era

Here's how it goes:

1. The OC is in the same year or one year younger than the Marauders

1½. Or the OC is one of the marauder's sister.

2. They switch up the original plot and make the OC a marauder as well with a nickname that's also printed on the Marauders Map

2½. The OC's nickname is always:
Claws
Jaws
Paws
Spots

Or some other body part. Sometimes even names like "Diamond" or "Ruby" or "Sunny"

C'mon. You can do better than that.

There are now five marauders.
The world is doomed.

3. They change the canon plot.
Since there's five marauders now, the OC also has to know about Remus's "furry little problem" and joins the boys into becoming animaguses.

4. The OC falls in love with James, Sirius, or Remus

5. The OC either dies,moves away, or goes missing as to not get in the way of the books.

Because Sirius isn't going to mention a past lover who died/Moved away/gone missing.

--Sirius is always obsessed with his hair.

He's so vain. His hair always has to be silky smooth.

That, or wolfstar happens and Remus braids it for him.

--The main character is absolutely flawless. 

She's funny, great at magic, loves pranking, but is super intelligent and gets all O's for her O.W.Ls.

So, if you have a flaw, POOF! goes your role as main character.

Oh, you're bad at potions? Sorry! Main character cannot afford to have a flaw. Have a nice day! *creeper grin*

--If the main character doesn't die, go missing, or move away at the end of the book, one these happens:

»If the character is married to James, she replaces the role of Lily and sacrifices herself

»If the character is married to Remus, he either injures the OC as a wolf and leaves her in a coma for years

Or

The OC replaces Tonks

»If the main character is married to Sirius, she is taking a vacation at Camp Half-Blood while Sirius gets sent Azkaban, and never appears again.

--When it's a JamesxOC story, Lily turns into Regina George.

--Snape hate. Snape hate everywhere.

--Nobody else exists.
Not Alice, not Martha, but yet Molly exists.

While the Marauders were at school, Molly would have already graduated.

By the time the Marauders graduate, Molly would have already had Bill.

--Stories in which the OC is the heir of Gryffindor.

No. Just no.
