Chapter 8: A Date!?
Last night was awful and it wasn't fun that I had school today. Apparently because we were getting close to the end of the year, even though it was only mid April, we had a massive final project for home ec.
But the thing I was looking forward to was my date with Scott, well he hadn't asked me out on a date just to "hang out" but that's sorta like a date right? When I got to school I smiled, it could be the fact I was listening to Somewhere Over The Rainbow, but whatever. In fact even though my locker was being a pain in my ass, I couldn't stop smiling,
"Why are you so happy?" Isaac slammed his locker shut
"Because I'm going out tonight."
"Oh with Scott right, you know-"
"Whatever Isaac don't ruin this day for me okay? Because 90% of the time you do." I opened my locker and stuck my tongue out at him, that pissed him off and he sauntered away not without giving me a complete death glare. Jealous much?
Needless to say I still got another death glare from Isaac, James actually smiled at me so I sat beside him. Sure I could've sat beside Ashley but wasn't it the mood for her constant whining.
"Hey!"I said, I was itching to get out of this class after all who wouldn't want to spend time with Scott.
"Oh hey April," James smiled "Are you excited about the summative?"
"No way I think Mr.Jameson will-"
Needless to say I didn't get to finish my sentence Mr.Jameson sssshed us, and scribbled on the whiteboard.
"Your summative will have certain due dates due to the fact you will get in a group of three and make a meal!" He exclaimed, I groaned making meals wasn't my thing.
"You can choose your groups I wouldn't be that mean."
I turned towards James "Partners?"
"Sure." He shrugged, Ashley walked over to us flashing her signature smile,
"Do you guys mind if I join you?"
Part of me wanted to say no, but whatever she wasn't that bad and I should be the better person right?
"Why not? As long as you can cook." I smiled, he grabbed a chair and sat beside me. Our group wasn't so bad, I wanted to laugh at Isaac who got a group with a bunch of slackers, serves him right.

I waited at the diner, tapping my foot along to the music, Scott was 15 minutes late. I was getting pissed off, I should just leave. My stomach disagreed because it growled when the waitress walked by with someone's delicious looking meal. Ahh screw it, if Scott's going to be late I shouldn't starve myself, right?
I called over a waitress, and she happily took my order, probably because she was sick of me ordering refills of water. I looked up from my phone when I heard the door open, it wasn't Scott, it was Ryan?
"April!" Ryan smiled, even though I appreciated Ryan's good looks, I wasn't in the mood to hang out with him, what was worse I couldn't even leave since I just ordered.
"Oh,hey."
Ryan slid into the booth "Disappointed?"
I laughed "Oh no! It's just I was waiting for someone..."
"Should I leave?" God Ryan was so nice most guys would just stick around, I couldn't kick him out, otherwise if just sit by myself eating fries and look like a major loser. which you already were since your so called date stood you up.
