On the road

Ashes pov

I wanted to apologize to Serena. So once were on the road I can talk to her alone. "Are you ok," Bonnie said running to Serena. When I saw her my heart broke.

Her eyes were red a puffy and there were stained tear on her check. She looked at Bonnie's worried face. And tried her best to put on a fake smile.

"Yea I'm fine," she said then looked at the ground.

Miette ran up to me and hugged my arm. "Oh goodness, what happened to you, Serena. You looked like you got hit by a train.

"You already know ash doesn't care for you so just give up." She said to Serena with a smirk.

"HOW COULD YOU SAY THAT. SERENA IS ONE OF THE PEOPLE I CARE ABOUT THE MOST!." I scream surprising everyone including me.

I felt my face get hot and I stared at the ground.

I could feel everyone's eyes on me. Miette laughed after a while and looked at me with a smile.

"Wow, Ash I was just testing you. Great job standing up for your friend. Makes me love you even more."

My face grew pink with embarrassment. Why would she do that just to test me.

Honestly I couldn't understand  Miette at all. "We should start moving before it gets dark," Serena said sounding a bit mad. "Ok let's go," I answered.

We've been walking for half an hour. When my stomach growled. "Oh, my honey is Hungry. Let's stop and eat." Miette said with a smile.

Clemont breath out in relief. "I h..have s..some san..dwiches in my b.back.pack." He said breathing hard.

I started to eat my sandwich when noticed that Serena wasn't eating. She looked like she was daydreaming.

" Hey Serena what's wrong? Aren't you going to eat?" I asked her.

"Oh sorry must have been daydreaming." She said sadly. She was probably still sad about what I said earlier.

I'm going to go for a small walk. I'll be back in a little bit." She said then started to walk off.

"I'm going to see what's wrong. It seems Like she's bothered by something." I said getting up but Miette grabbed my arm.

"Ash you should give some space. It seems like she's mad at you. You don't want her to hate you, do you?"

I sighed in defeat. I really badly want to know what I did to make her upset.

A hour passed and she hadn't come back. I started to pace back and forth. "Where is she it's getting dark? I'm going after her?" I said in worry.

"Don't worry Ash she going to come back. Just wait a little while longer."

I sat on a log for another half hour waiting for Serena. "That's it I'm going to go look for her."

"I'm coming too," Miette said, it was her fault I didn't go after her earlier. "No, I'll go alone," I said walking off screaming Serena's name.
