Serenas Pov

I heard a growl come from Ash I looked to where his gaze was held, my body froze at the sight of him. "Oh dear, what awful choices that young man is making," the sweet voice of the old lady said. She probably realized I wasn't paying much attention because she too turned to see where I was looking at. "WOW, you just had to run to the broken boy, is he going to protect you like he did the last time," The other's voice rang with venom as he asked. "I'll kill you if you touch her," ash growled back, moving so he was standing in front of me.

I've seen Ash angry but this was a whole new level. "You seriously think you could overpower me? THAT HILARIOUS.!" Moving towards us he laughed, "stay back," Ash's voice dangerously low as he warned the other boy.

I let out a shaky breath as I hide behind ash, he wasn't in the best condition to fight if he had to.  Both the boys were focused more on each other, I bent over to pick up a big piece of glass, that had probably been from a broken beer bottle. "I have more people, you wouldn't even sand a chance Ash," Gary stated showing four strong men from behind him. One of them being the man knowing her name at the hospital. 

"Oh dear, I would reconsider your chances look around darling." Gary's head snapped toward the old lady then look around. It was then that I realized that there was a crowd of people recording what was happing. Gary's let out a frustrated growl leaning to whisper something harsh in Ash's ear, then after moved back glaring at ash as he walked away.

there were whispers around them, some people walked up to them to ask if they were ok or what happened.

I put my hand on Ash's shoulder and smiled at him, "Hey um... we need to talk about what happened earlier, about the cutting," He grimaced. "It was just a stupid thing I did without thinking, it doesn't matter," He stated simply. "Ash why did you do it, was it really because of me.?" Letting out an annoyed sigh he turned his gaze towards me, "Let find a place to stay. We can't stay at a place that Gary already knows of." 

He was avoiding the question... so it was my fault or did he really just not want to talk about. So many questions unanswered swirled around in my head. Who was that Lillian? How did Ash know Gary before?  What did Gary say to him? If you kids need a place to stay for a while, you could stay with me if you want." We both turned around, "why would you help us. What if by helping us you would be tangled in this mess, possibly even dying?" Ash asked bluntly causing me to kick his foot and frown at him. 

"I don't have much time left anyway dear. Plus I would feel awful leaving you kids without helping in some way." I nodded, I looked over to ash you had a blank stare on his face. "Yeah we would love to stay, thank you," I said sweetly if anything seemed uncomfortable or off we would leave. Ash mumbled under his breath is was too quiet to hear but I could tell he was worrying. "Oh, wonderful follow me my house is only a block or two away from here."
