Rei's P.O.V.
I gasped, sitting up and whipping my head around to try and figure out where I was.
Oh, I'm in my room... I guess I'm still getting used to the new room.
"Wow..." I muttered to myself. "I have reached the highest level of stupidity..."
I have only spent about two nights in it, so I guess it's not all that bad.
Right?
"Sweetie, are you up?" my father called from downstairs.
"Yes, papa, I am," I replied, stumbling out of my new room.
I padded downstairs, doing my best not to trip down any of them.
A laugh bubbled in my chest crawled up my throat and escaped through my lips once I saw my father.
"What?" he asked, his brows scrunching up in confusion.
"Your apron in on inside out." I giggled.
"It seems as though it is." My father hummed, looking at what he was wearing over his clothing. "Well, hurry up and get ready for school, I guess, I'll see you around four."
My father scooped me into his arms and left a small kiss on my forehead before going back into the kitchen, hanging the apron up, and going into his room to get ready for work.
I flinched and let out a yelp as a warm, tingly arm found itself on my shoulder.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you." Luciano's deep voice murmured in my ear.
"Get off." I huffed, getting out from under his arm.
"What's wrong?" he asked, concern filling his green eyes.
I didn't answer.
"I didn't scare you yesterday, did I?" he wondered, his eyes showing clear panic.
"No," I whispered. "No, you didn't scare me."
"Then what is it?" he inquired, grabbing me by my waist and pulling us over to the corner of the hallway.
"I can't think straight when you're touching me," I mumbled, trying halfheartedly to get out of his arms.
"Oh, really?" he hummed, running his nose along my neck.
"Let go, I want to get to class on time today," I complained.
"Or," he drawled out with a mischievous glint in his eyes. "We could just skip school altogether."
"No!" I squeaked, my arms flailing in the air. "My father would kill me if I skipped school!"
Luciano's eyes darkened.
"No one will ever hurt you as long as I'm alive, you don't have to worry about that." He growled quietly, his grip on me tightening.
"It's a figure of speech... you idiot." I mumbled.
Why do I feel so safe when I'm with him?
Is it because of the mate bond that he said we share? I've read about mate bonds a couple of times, they're said to be extremely powerful. I'll probably have to ask Luciano about it later... I'll have to ask Luciano a lot of stuff later...
"What's on your mind?" Luciano asked, pushing some of my stray hair out of my face.
My face heated up.
"You never really explained anything," I mumbled, looking away from him. "Like what you meant by us being mates, or anything like that. What are your weaknesses? What are your strength's? What other types of supernatural creatures are there?"
"Slow down." He chuckled. "Mates are meant to be, two half's of a soul becoming whole, and..."
"And?" I asked.
"And it means it would be very hard for you to refuse this." He smirked, grabbing the back of my head and slowly leaning in.
I let a quiet squeak out when his lips pressed against mine gently as if he was scared that I would disappear or crumble into bits if he was too harsh. My lips started moving with his, I had absolutely no control over it.
He pulled away with a large grin on his face.
"What were your other questions again?" he wondered, an innocent mask on his face as if he didn't just kiss me randomly.
"What your weaknesses and strengths were? And, what other kinds of supernatural creatures there are?" I repeated, my fingers reaching up and touching my lips tenderly.
What was that?
"Well, you are both a strength and weakness of mine now, all supernatural creatures are weakened by silver and Wolfsbane is poisonous to werewolves." He answered. "And there are too many other supernatural creatures to name all of them."
"Oh..." I whispered, still trying to get over the shock of him kissing me.
