Percy POV.
I had just gotten back from a quest to save Apollo's herd of cows (A/N is that what the animal was, or was it sheep?). I was so excited to see my friends and Annabeth. I haven't seen her in forever. Ok, two weeks, but still! The only people on the quest with me were Clarrisse and Leo. It was an actually pretty fun trip because of the two of them bickering all the time. I was looking around for Annabeth when I heard chanting.
"Kiss, kiss, kiss!" I got curious and followed the voices.
When I found everyone I saw who it was and was crushed. My new brother, Theseus, and.... Annabeth. Some people saw me and went quiet. Annabeth, needing to know everything, separated herself from Theseus. She looked around and her eyes landed on me. I must have looked quite frightening because she looked terrified.
"Percy." She whispered. As Annabeth had been looking around, Theseus had been smiling at the crowd and hugging Annabeth.
When she whispered my name he whipped his head sharply towards where Annabeth was looking. He smirked when he saw me.
"So! The loser of Olympus is back!" He shouted. "Well it looks like your mad. I stole your girl, Perce! What are you going to do about it?" He flaunted.
"I dunno. I mean it's not like we live in the same cabin." I say sarcastically.
The smirk slips of his face for half a second, but I saw it.
"It's not what it looks like Percy!" Said Annabeth.
I scoffed. "From what I hear and see it is what it looks like."I hid it well but I was making the sea crash and churn because of my anger.
I'm pretty sure a few people heard it too. Oh well.
I started to yell at her, "I protected you Annabeth. I went to Tartarus for goodness sake! Everything I did for you, it was a waist of time. I can't believe you! I just can't!"
I started to walk away. "Percy! I didn't mean... Like... He.... Ugh...." Annabeth fumbled with her words.
"Stop trying." I yelled over my shoulder and started to jog back to my cabin.
Why is my life so hard? When I get there I go straight over to the fountain my father gave me.
"Oh Iris, goddess of rainbows, show me Annabeth Chase." Then I threw a drachma into the water.
When the rainbow shows itself I see her standing there looking at everyone while Theseus is speaking.
"Now who here, does not like the loser Perseus Jackson?". Not many people raised their hands, but some did and a few of them I thought, were my friends. I guess not. "Well, maybe what I have to say will change your minds. When I got here I guess he was on border patrol or something. I was being chased by the Minotaur. Percy saw me and was about to go walk up to me and welcome me until he saw the monster. He sprinted away to hide behind a tree like a scared little boy. I caught the Minotaur on my own and thank the gods I won! When I killed it I went over to Percy to comfort him, but then he smiled and stood up without a care in the world. I asked him why he ran away and he said that it was because he didn't feel like doing the dirty work. Then he led me here." I was disgusted.
How could he say that? I was the one that killed the Minotaur! Theseus was the person that ran to hide! He was enraging! As I watched more I got even more mad.
"How many of you don't like him now?" He asked again.
Almost the whole camp raised their hands except my best friends (The seven plus Nico) and Camp Jupiter, who had joined forces with Camp Half-Blood.
"Well to let you all know, he is also a traitor. He sided with Gaya. Now he's trying to bring her back and he's also bringing the titans with her." Everyone looked disgusted.
"How do you know this though? I mean, you don't just know this. Do you?" Someone asked in the crowd.
"Now you must remember that I share a cabin with him. I walked in on him going through battle plans. Then mumbling to himself about, "here could be an attack" or "yes! That's it!" I just was silent till he noticed me and jumped and hid the papers." He answers. The guy that asked looked thoughtfully at the person beside him who just shrugged.
I was so entirely mad that I could tell that fish would come flying out of the sky soon. Or maybe there would be a tsunami.... Ugh. I'm hard to predict. Anyway, I was just about to storm out of my cabin when, in a flash, I was on Olympus in front of the gods. I looked towards my father but he just looked mad and disappointed. I looked confuse at all the other gods and goddesses. Many of them looked angry. I turned my sight to the direction of Zeus. He looked the worst.
"WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?!? WE THOUGHT YOU WERE ON OUR SIDE!" Zeus boomed.
It actually really scared me and I guess it scared all the other gods. Ares even looked frightened. If I wasn't so terrified myself if be laughing and taking pictures.
"What do you mean, my lord?" I asked cautiously. I didn't want to upset him.
"I mean about you betraying us. We are here to vote to kill you or let you live but keep a close eye on you." He answered.
"Lord Zeus, I never betrayed you! For the gods sake my fatal flaw is loyalty! It's impossible to overcome that unless I get another one which I'm pretty sure didn't happen!" I was frustrated. Why did no one believe me?
"Let's just get on to voting." Rushed on Athena.
"Fine. Alright. Everyone in favor of letting Perseus Jackson live, raise your hand." Sighed Zeus.
Only Apollo, Artemis, Hermes, Demeter, and surprisingly Hera, raised their hands. Zeus looked at his wife disgustedly but shook it off when he realized what was going to happen.
I was dead.
