Jeon Jungkook. He was a bashful sweetheart. You thought he was a machine, working day and night mastering his craft. He wanted to be an idol, to move to the city and make it happen. No one ever saw that side of him - where he couldn't hang out because he was off to the dance studio again, most likely not getting home till 1 am. A sweet goodnight text on your phone brightening your dark, hazy room every night.

He never knew how you felt about him, until today - where it was so obvious.

Nevermind your heart fractured seeing him with her.

Nevermind you never confessed.

Nevermind you treated him like a trophy, it doesn't count anymore.

You met him on a hazy autumn afternoon in the college library, you always picked the table by the grandiose, spectacular window. It was like a breath of fresh air, it showcased the whole campus perfectly. The trees stripped by the orange sea of their leaves, falling ever so delicately to the granite, it was like watching a scene out of a movie. But nothing compared to the boy, the boy who welcomed himself into your corner of beauty. He nervously shuffled over to the window seat you were resting in, blaring your iPod through your headphones
and reading your latest book.
"Paramore?" He blurted loudly, to make sure he was heard. He flashed you a sparkling smile, the genuine excitement showing upon him to find someone who also liked the band. He was patient.

"Y-yeah. Do you like them? I love them. I have some of their albums on record." You retorted enthusiastically. You everted your back against the pillow behind you, straightening your posture. What he said next, blessed your heart.

"I wish I had records. You must have had them imported right?!" He replied to which you nodded diligently. He continued. "Daebak!! Maybe you could show me them soon, huh?" My name is Jungkook!" He smoothly added, winking and bringing his hand outwards to meet yours for a shake.

"Y/N." You mumbled, blushing.

That day was the beginning of a friendship that stuck like glue. From the moment you saw him, you thought he was the most handsome man alive, his personality linked with yours so well. Your feelings were kept in tight, you didn't want to ruin the friendship but when you graduating with his sorry ass, getting drunk as hell that night. You couldn't control yourself and ended up kissing him. You never spoke of it as he said he couldn't remember anything the next day, that was the tipping point of where you had an internal fight with yourself and your feelings.

Nevermind you essentially dropped everything for him.

Nevermind he saw every shade of you.

Nevermind your thoughts were deceived.

You wouldn't tell him, it was too hard.

He shared his dream with you. Saying that when you both saved enough, you'd move to the city, he'd audition to be a trainee and you would go into fashion design, you'd live your best lives. But you only really wanted him. You were satisfied if you were by his side. Nothing else mattered. You both made it there eventually, not daring to say a word to your parents and you both ran away when the night was young. It felt like you were walking on air. There was a possiblity, you could tell him. Must have been the fresh city air...

Nevermind you devoted yourself to a whim.

Nevermind you were optimistic.

You never knew the future.

You evaporated from your reality, your friends back home went crazy. They knew this was poison for you, they begged you to tell him how you felt, they warned you. They saw the way you lit up like fan lightsticks at a concert together, they knew you both needed each other.

Nevermind you never listened.

Nevermind you were so naive.

Nevermind you were now a wondering wreck, nowhere to go, no one you were desired by...

Today was the day, it all flipped upside down. The twisted fantasy grabbed you by the neck, choking you back to reality. It crippled you. He was with a girl. And it wasn't you. The November weather screeched through the evening streets of the city, cars zipping about, you weren't paying attention...your attention was on the scene you just witnessed. Over and over again. Mental torture. You didn't even bring a coat, you were being showered by menacing, hard pellets of rain, ripping at your small frame.

--------------------------------------------------

Cold cold cold!! You bounded to the apartment door, fumbling with the keys crazily, you knew who was on the other side of the door, with hot cocoa as promised after winning the race to the door earlier this morning, although he might have the stamina of a world-class Olympian, today was not the day he won this contest! Jeon Jungkook. Your smile beamed as you slipped around the door frame and threw your bag over to the side unit. Odd..the light was off and the staircase was a black abyss. You finished early today, he didn't read your texts. Maybe he just wasn't home yet? As you pondered you heard a loud shriek followed by a muffled voice that belonged to a female explode around the apartment. Who was here?

You raced up the staircase, following the sound of laughter to the kitchen diner, there was the evidence. A graceful and polished looking girl, her straight and flowing auburn hair draped over the couch, so glossy it could blind you. She was trapped underneath Jungkook who was almost straddling her, pinning her arms down beside her sides. The image burned in time almost like the flicker of a polaroid camera..

You couldn't possibly register what was going on in front of you, it took the breath out of your lungs, the vitality out of your body, your spirit. Your jaw felt like it had unhinged, gasping for air you slapped your hand over your mouth, the tears already forming and smearing your vision. The gasp you made was Jungkook's queue, he hastily pushed himself of the girl and his eyes were desperately set on you. You couldn't form the words but he already had guess what you wanted to say.

In distress and shifting foot to foot, the boy in front of you struggled to find words. "Y/N. This is Lina, she is a fellow trainee, you see we were paired for this-" He bleated but you cut him off, a fire raging within you. "Save it Kook. I already know what this is, I am sorry for barging in on you, I will just go g-grab my things uh..." You interjected so confidently, only to have your words backfire when you saw his face grew even more pained, trailing off with a whimper. Your eyes stung like they had been scratched with daggers. You looked back at him, his face now blank and lifeless. The girl met his back, resting her hand on his shoulder about to say something, to which he flinched her off.

You needed to get out of here, not knowing of a destination, but anything was better than staying in this hellhole that you once called your haven. You turned out of the room and darted for the staircase, your tears flooding your face. The fear of this new reality sucking you up, breathing insanely. You could feel him on your tail, bellowing your name but most of what he was shouting was drowned by your uncontrollable hiccuping.

"Y/N PLEASE, LETS TALK PLEASE!!" He was adamant, the rage in his voice when he didn't get his way very evident. He almost reached grasp of your arm when you grabbed your bag violently. You both froze when you flinched away, normally no matter what he did, you would always welcome his touch. He was plagued with confusion. You both were panting. You cut off his second interject by slamming the door in his face, flying down the block as fast as your feet could take your weak vessel. He thought he had you, but you surprised him with your haste.
