Chapter 6 - Reputation

6.16am.

 I barely slept five minutes, opening my sunken eyes was a challenge. I twisted myself round to the blinding light that seeped from the alarm clock. Giving in, I threw the blanket off of myself and stumbled over to the curtains. I let the small amount of morning light seep through and I  tip-toed into the bathroom. Splashing my face with ice cold water, I shivered. Blinking at my reflection, my face looked older, more torn, I had lost my charming glow, it hurt to smile when I knew my lips spelled lies.

I heard knocking on the bedroom door, as if someone had camped outside until I was up. I twisted the door knob open apprehensively to be greeted by two faces, patterned with unnerve. Shocked, I continued to let them in, they pierced my vision - focusing from the shadows on their faces, it was Jin and Jimin. The room suddenly flooded with light when Jin smacked the light switch to the left of him.

"We like having a ghost as a guest. Y/N. We barely see you, that ends today." Jimin announced, a small twinge of authority in his tone. Jin nodded, but seemed to zone out, looking at how tidy I finally had the room. He smirked to himself but was brought back to the present when Jimin nudged him.

"Guys, w-what do you mean? I'm at work and it's not like-" I began to ramble, my voice was rattling with dishonesty, I was cut off by Jin's brows furrowing he began shaking his head in disbelief.

"I was doing the recycling, you've been having takeout for weeks. Do you know how bad that is for your health? Please don't lie. I hate that you avoid us, and I guess I deserve it because I didn't exactly do the best job of concealing that argument I had with that boy. But where your health is concerned? It's so important to Jimin and I." He sighed after confessing, they shared glances towards me I felt the sour taste of guilt.

"All we're saying. Is spend time with us both, we want to see you bloom back to happiness. We know it's not that easy right now, but trying is enough!" Jimin cooed. His voice was smoky at this time of the day, it wiggled and cracked. 

"Come eat breakfast with us soon, okay?" Jin interjected, he pinched at one of my cheeks. I giggled a little. They left the room instantly and I heard their conversation, Jimin came in early to help Jin get to me, it made me blush. I changed into my work uniform and applied a little makeup so it didn't look like I was a member of the undead. 

Slowly, but surely I walked down the stairs to the main restaurant, I felt apprehensive. But waking in, I was marvelled. The sun creeped through the shades, making all the tables shine from their clean appearance, there was a table in specific, that was dressed up with plates, platters and pillar candles. Tea, egg toast and cereals - anything imaginable. I gulped and made my way over to the table where both Jin and Jimin were making conversation.

"Y/N-ah, please enjoy! I wasn't sure what you liked so I whipped up everything I could think of." Jin raved, the smug tone lined his velvet voice. I nodded and took a seat, all the food before made me weak and I was so unsure if I could touch it. Suddenly, Jimin poured tea into the cup to my left, and handed it to me assuringly.

"If you can't eat just yet. Take a sip of this please. How have you been?" Jimin questioned, the hint of concern was evident but he didn't make it awkward, I sipped at the tea slowly, and began, speaking shakily.

"Kook's stopped texting. Calling. I've felt so lonely, but I see how busy you are, and I'm always just so tired - I can't do it to you both. It's just so damn hard to get even an of hour sleep without his face slapping my dreams." I croaked, I felt good to finally talk, I felt like I had been mute. I scoffed when I felt the tickle of fear. I threw my bangs to my the front of my face. I could feel their eyes on me, Jin and Jimin's looks grew sad, brows screwing together, I felt arms wrap around me, my numb body succumbed to warmth, it was Jimin's muscular arms that pulled me in, he rubbed my back slowly.
