A/N: The previous chapter but from Jimin's point of view. Waiting for Y/N. Chapter 5 makes sense of this chapter.
It could have been 5 minutes, it could have been an hour. I wasn't checking. I was just glued to the path, the path she walked to meet him. Questioning, how long would it take? It had definitely been a while, as the sky was now cast a thick blue shade - the moon wouldn't be far away from appearing in it's shining splendour.
They had to figure a lot out. So why was I so apprehensive? I kept fidgeting in my seat - keen to the sounds around me, just in case. I rested my head on the steering wheel and sighed deeply. He wouldn't try anything, would he? No. He's not a guy like that - Y/N has known him since forever I guess. But the thought of seeing her in tears would crush me.
Footsteps were lacing the pavement near where I was parked, probably just some random person walking home - or at least I assumed. I tried to eye who was approaching, squinting - my eyes fixed on the wing mirror.
I recognised that walk....
That voice.. they were talking to someone on the phone..
"No oppa! I am really close to home now- please don't worry!"
It was Nam Chaehee, and she was walking this way.
As I finally came to conclusion on who it was, she was dangerously close, I threw myself back into my seat, trying to act if nothing happened. She must have sensed someone was around - as she stopped right in her tracks, right next to my car.
There was a pause - dead silence. But she hadn't passed. I cursed under my breath. She began to slide her hand across the side of my car. The deafening sound of her nails scratching the paintwork, it made my teeth grit.
"Jimin Oppa?" I turned to see her peering into the window. Startling me. She met my eyes with a large smile. I regretted looking. I rolled down my window - much to my contrition. She leant on the ledge of the window - bending herself over, so I could so obviously see she was trying to push out her cleavage.
Fashion over comfort. A one way ticket to a cold.
"Chaehee. Please refrain from calling me that." I barked monotonously. Not even making eye contact with her.
"Harsh. I was just wondering why you were here at this time? Especially on your own." She scanned the interior of the car, searching for someone else as she spoke.
"I am waiting for someone. I should be asking you the same. You've got somewhere to be." I exclaimed in a deadpan tone. Still keeping my eye out for Y/N. She noticed my loss of attention.
"Hmm....let me guess! Is it the neighbourhood tramp Y/N? Oh! Did I get it right Oppa?" She sarcastically barked at me, it made me confused. How could Y/N have history with her also?
"What the heck Chaehee? How do you even know her name?" I growled back at her.
"So it is her. I was right. You do know she's trouble?" Chaehee claimed. She crooked her head to the side and waited for my reaction, I was not going to break that easily. She clicked her tongue and leaned in ever so closer, batting her mascara heavy lashes.
"And you're not Chaehee? If you have nothing valuable to say - I suggest you get going to where you need to be, whoever it is that's waiting may start to worry." I instructed harshly towards her, it made her step back - she realised her charms weren't working on me.
"You shouldn't say things like that Mr Park Jimin. Or, no - what is it now?" She slyly threatened. Her hand slowly caressed the window seal - her movement was catlike. I stiffened in my seat.
"I am not dignifying that with an answer." I slowly snarled. My tone of voice became thick with annoyance. Running my fingers through my hair stressfully.
"Oops! But you just did? Well Mr Park. You sure are stupid at hiding. Yuen Yeri ring a bell?" She snapped back. Her eyes moving wildly, and her grip on the car door tightened. Her gaze never left me.
"You can tell Ms. Yeri, like I've told her before. It's over. I have nothing - she witnessed what happened with my father. He made it pretty fucking clear. She won't get anything out of me." I jeered back at her. Finally piercing my gaze into hers.
"Yeri loved you Jimin - she didn't care about the companies. You and I both know that." She mimicked a defeated tone, but it was obviously faked. I rolled my eyes at her statement. Like shit she did.
"That's totally right, of course it is. It's not my fault her poor daddy can't run a business." I sarcastically mumbled. Scanning the area behind Chaehee. I didn't have time for stupidity like this. Her eyes sparked with shock, morphing into a thick scowl.
"Y/N is the one you shouldn't be around! I know everything there is to know about her, I've had people look into her. I work with the whore!" She acutely sneered, not a fuck given about what was spilling out her mouth. I was almost about to snap back but she continued.
"She knows all about you too. She's manipulating you, and you're too stupid to see it! This Jungkook boy? Just a pawn in the whole game. It's all bullshit! You know what they say. If you lie down with dogs, you'll get fleas..." She bitchily tattled. Her face inches away from me, and her voice thick like tar by my ear.
I briskly gripped her wrist pushed her away from the car, to which she moaned in pain and stumbled back onto the pavement. I wound my window back up. She screeched, kicking the door and storming off. Her classic ponytail whipping the ice cold air as she left.
"If you lie down with dogs...
You'll get fleas.."
I just groaned, trying to get what she just said out of my head. I returned back to my ritual of looking down across at the snow ploughed path. The sky was a monochrome black, the moon was sparkling bright.
--
Why is she suspicious of you Y/N?
I trust you, and not her. Is that the way it should be?
Should I ask you?
Would it be right?
Nevermind. I bet it's just lies.
Or is it?
Park Jimin
