Chapter 2

FAITH POV: I was asked to open up for a big named artist, Tim McGraw. I'm excited for this tour but at the same I wish I was on my own tour. My manager thinks one more year opening will put me more on the map so to speak. Whatever. I have two albums out which both have done amazingly well. My third album is in the works and almost complete. The first single came out last week and so far so good. The fans have really responded to it. I think this tour will be a good distraction for me. I just recently ended a two year marriage. He was abusive to me mentally and physically. I couldn't take it anymore. I didn't deserve to be treated that way, so I finally got the nerve to get out. Thankfully he didn't come after me and signed the divorce papers. I'm now officially divorced. I have no plans to get back out there and find someone anytime soon. I just need to focus on me and my career. My friends keep telling I need to get back out there. I'm just not ready even though I've split from my ex husband now for a year. But the divorce took several months before it was finally finalized. I couldn't be happier. I can now live my life. It's like I can finally breathe. I start getting everything packed. I leave tomorrow for the start of the this tour. My best friend Gaye is coming out as well. I'm so excited. I can't wait to see her. "Hello" "hey Faith" "Gaye! I'm so excited to see you tomorrow" Me too girl! It's been way too long" "yes it has. So you all ready to go?" "Just about! Just a little nervous" "Why? You will be great!" "yeah thanks but it's more the guy I'm opening up for" "Tim McGraw? Why?" "I don't know. Just never met the guy and really don't know much about him" "Well I hear he is very good looking and is single" I laugh "I'm not looking for anything like that right now" "Alright fine, but I have a feeling I can convince you otherwise" she laughed "Alright I'll see you tomorrow" "Okay bye" "bye"
